Nigeria aircraft destined for Europe can not fly through Niger republic airspace.

And aircraft from Nigeria will have to fly through Benin-Togo-Ghana Airspace passing through Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Gambia to Senegal before crossing to Europe in the Sky.

That will be a very long distance.

Somehow your version of ECOWAS happens to be only Nigeria.
You think those countries are as f00Iish as most of you think?
If they impose a "No fly Zone" on ECOWAS, how will aircraft get into their own country?
How will some of import goods or have electricity?

This isn't about personal issues and appeals but institutional strength and integrity.
Any organization that grants the same rights to both current and ex-members has
lost its reason for existing.

ECOWAS is an international union and not ethnic enclave.
It would have been better if ECOWAS pretended to renegotiate the trade deals
with the ex-members and end up conferring them with most of the existing privileges
than the blanket rights extended to ex-members.

It cost the UK billions of dollars to leave the EU along with revoked privileges,
but ECOWAS ex-members are making gains and keeping all membership privileges.

Well ECOWAS is not the EU. If this were to be Ghana, Ivory Coast or Senegal leaving, then ECOWAS may decide to be as harsh as the EU to make them reap the consequences. But Niger, Mali, Bfaso, are all landlocked countries already struggling with armed conflict that affects their neighbours. Isolating them won’t be in the region’s best interest.

When the Niger coup happen, credible and respected multilateral bodies with integrity, sound leadedship and purpose (both AU and UN) only called out for calm,security and reasoning in resolving the issue....but one useless and irrelevant body, led by one certificate forger,in the fit of cluelessness and gragra,rushed to impose sanctions, even threatened to invade Niger and gonti wat with them in order to restire an unpular government....only to roll back the sanctions because they were ineffective and eve begged Niger to come back to ECOWAS after the suspension.

The damage and final death of ECOWAS was under the criminal clalled Tinubu as the Chariman...

These three Francophone countries deserve much accolades for bravely standing up to and challenging Western European neocolonial ambitions and exiting the increasingly useless ECOWAS which is becoming a puppet in the West's hands.
If it's possible,they should totally remove French language as a working language, not only removing it as official language.
But it may take much time being that French language is the Lingua Franca of different ethnic groups within the countries.

Your analysis is brief and spot on. ECOWAS as a sub national BLOC needs to sit down and redefine her responsibilities and position within the West African Sub region. This stance truly makes ECOWAS somehow useless. Dire times lie ahead if the BLOC Continues in this docile direction.
