Yes it’s hard. That is because your action will dictate how the rest of Yoruba people live on their land. The shariah in the North is now affecting every damn person. We don’t want that in the West.

Let me recite how I introduce myself during my wolimo.

Ismi legendhero ibnu baba mi, ana tolibu fi markaz talim da ru li hikmat, Arabia wa islamiya fi Oluyole Ibadan. Ko la ro sulu Lai sola la alayhim wa salam …..

I wrote this using Islamic Yoruba accent for you to understand you ain’t more Muslim than me.

NO SHARIAH LAW WILL EXISTS IN YORUBALAND!

- As long as Nigeria exists, Shariah law will be established in all South West states starting with that Ayo Fayose poverty-stricken state.

- All those Yooroba lazy youths venting on socials against Muhammad's righthand man, Sultan, should be very careful with their utterances.
You are slow in the head

Can you quote the part of the Constitution that legalized it in Nigeria?

I am waiting ohhh
Sharia law in Nigeria is legal under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly in the northern states that have adopted it. The key constitutional sections that allow for the implementation of Sharia law include:

1. Section 6(5)(k) – Establishment of Sharia Courts

This section recognizes the existence of Sharia Courts of Appeal at both the state and federal levels, allowing them to adjudicate matters of Islamic personal law.

2. Section 38 – Freedom of Religion

This section guarantees Nigerians the right to practice and manifest their religion, including following Islamic law if they choose to.

This has been used to justify the implementation of Sharia in states where the majority of people are Muslims.

3. Section 275 – Creation of a State Sharia Court of Appeal

This section allows any state with a Muslim majority to establish a Sharia Court of Appeal to handle civil matters involving Islamic personal law (e.g., marriage, inheritance, and family disputes).

4. Section 277 – Jurisdiction of the Sharia Court of Appeal

Defines the limits of Sharia law, restricting it to personal matters involving Muslims (such as marriage, inheritance, waqf, and guardianship).

Criminal matters under Sharia law are controversial because the Nigerian Constitution already defines a common legal framework under secular law.

It’s already established in Ekiti state, it just needs to get to Oyo then it will spread like cancer in the west. There are many religions in the area, but sharia is not a religion but a political ideology it does not respect local customs.
pls show me anywhere sharia is established in Ekiti or any SW state.
You D£ranges human being will just come online to spew rubbish.
Typing sht to your gullible people to believe there is sharia in Ekiti when the indigene don’t even know how a mosque looks like.

When abacha and buhari were misruling Nigeria, only prominent Yorubas spoke against them.

No single prominent Igbo man said a word. Your fellow Igbo man, Kanu, even supported abacha and headed his Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha (YEAA).

So, who is the real coward here?

Speak For yourself. If all Southwest muslims vote, majority will reject it. Opinions of the few should not override the majority stake.

Chai you have comprehension problem ooo, Kano is a Muslim state, they are using Islamic law. Southwest is for both the Muslims, Christianity and traditional worshipers, there are nothing like Islamic laws in the south West, so what we want is Sharia court and not general Sharia laws. Sharia court is meant for the Muslims and not Christians, it doesn't stop you from patronizing your customary court.
Do you what your islam means?
It means subjugation, it means forcing people against their belief, it means imole in Yoruba.
How do you think there will be peaceful co-existence when what you guys are wired with is defined above

If they have any they can go ahead na, so why must you stop or dictate for Muslims? Nobody is stopping you from practicing your religion na u this intolerant set of people...

Now the Oro festival you guys normally declaring a curfew isn't that a limitation to the application of rule of law? When you declare a curfew is that not affecting other religions? Or is only traditional worshipers we have in the south West? You this hypocrite.

You are right my brother

Sultan is the father of all Yoruba Muslims

Allahu has given him to us to guide and protect us from infidels and their ways

Allahu Akbar!!
What were the Yoruba muslims doing before the invasion of their land by the Fulani?
Did they not have a head of islam?
I now see the biological difference between a Yoruba and Igbo brain.
Sultan tells you that he is the head and father of your religion and you not only believe him, but you are ready to kill your own brothers for him. What happened to your own father, the one who actually born you, who was a Muslim before the Fulanis came?

Sharia law is an Arab traditional law. Most of its contents were practiced long before Islam started.

You can only be a Omo àlè for advocating for imposition of Arab tradition on your Yoruba tradition
Freedom of religion is a fundamental human right. Allow him to practice Sharia law in peace

If Nigerians don't disrupt the religious tolerance in Yoruba land it will be very difficult to take power and economy from SW, the battle to use Islam to disorganise the Yoruba tribe has been on since the time of Uthman Dan Fodio who couldnt spread Islamic religious fanatism division beyond Ilorin in Yoruba land.
This current ploy led by Sultan to infiltrate Yorubas and sow religious division has to go on or else Yorubas will continue to control political power in Nigeria.

Okay, does the Sharia law supersedes the civil and statutory laws.

I think it may be in the penal codes hence it is not operational across the country except in the North.

I also think that the Sharia courts are in the class of the customary court and perhaps a Sharia appeal court, any case decided in that court can be appealed to a Federal high court, an then to Federal Court of Appeal.....

I am not a lwyer, but I think so

Sultan of Sokoto is only influential in his core Northern state. He has no business meddling into the SW affairs.

If we don’t care how the North choose to live their life, Sultan should respect his age and not ridicule himself more than this.

How can you say Muslims are marginalized in the SW, does marginalize have a different meaning in Hausa language?
I'll agree with you guys on this
