I guess we should be grateful to the doggedness of Ajaka of Kogi-State and the SDP in Kogi-State for this special milestone.!! He fought for this in Kogi,, and thanks goodness it is going to pay off in Edo State. .. For Context...... ((For the sake of those who didn't know what Ajaka did in Kogi State)) He demanded for the BVAS-Machines to be brought to the court during the Election Tribunal.. BUT THE INEC REFUSED. He charged them to court separately for it. The case reached SUPREME-COURT, and he won on that one. Then the INEC had no other options than to bring the BVAS-Machines to court.. But then,, They still ruled against him during the Judgement. The reason being that,, by the time the BVAS-Machines were finally brought to the court,, the time allotted for the “hearing” had passed, and thus, none of the evidence which were gotten out of the BVAS-Machines could be used to decide the fate of the petition. The thing pained me that time shaa. But I knew it had set precedence for some future Tribunals. ... Hello Fergie001. Please is there any link available right-now -- where I can download the Supreme-Court Judgement that gave Ajaka/INEC the go-ahead to bring the BVAS-Machines to the Tribunal.?? I really need to read it and digest it very well.. |

BluntCrazeMan:Well, there was controversy in the number of bvas used for the polls between pdp and inec and nothing from the bvas has been laid before the court |

Akpakomiza2:In The Case Of Edo State,, THE BVAS-MACHINES ARRIVED AT THE TRIBUNAL BEFORE THE DEADLINE.. Am I right.?? Akpakomiza2:The INEC Staff who brought the BVAS-Machines was not cross-examined by the Counsel of the Petitioners.?? |

BluntCrazeMan:I thought you know how the court works by now. Any evidence brought must be backed by oral testimony if not it will be deemed as dumping of documents. PDP must explain the bvas and link it to their case...therefore bringing the bvas on time means nothing There was no cross examination of inec staff. |

The Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal made a significant development today as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) submitted the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines used in the September 21 election. This came after a subpoena was issued by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when INEC initially refused to release the machines voluntarily. The BVAS data is expected to provide crucial insight into potential discrepancies between voter accreditation and final results, with preliminary reports indicating over-voting in some polling units. A PDP witness from Akoko Edo testified that the ward-level results did not align with those uploaded on INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IREV), and he refused to sign the ward result sheet due to inconsistencies. A separate witness from Oredo Local Government presented evidence showing that the final results declared by INEC in Ward 1 differed from polling unit records and IREV data. The Tribunal accepted certified true copies (CTCs) of these exhibits, highlighting discrepancies between the final results and polling unit figures. The BVAS machines' data, now submitted as evidence, will play a pivotal role in evaluating the validity of the election results. The data logs the accredited voters at each polling unit and will be instrumental in assessing the PDP's claims of over-voting. Legal analysts believe this could strengthen Barr. Ighodalo’s petition, as the BVAS data is considered the primary source of accreditation information by the Supreme Court. The APC and Governor Monday Okpebholo’s defense team will closely examine the evidence as the Tribunal continues its review. |

If PDP like they should bring 1 billion evidences from all over the world. The judges will still tell them that they failed to prove their case. We know how we roll in Naija. |
