Coldie:It is a good move. If your soul and body crave to be back in Nigeria. Do it. You will never regret it. However, relocating back home should not be an impromptu decision. It should be a carefully plan move over a period of time. Please note: If you don't have reasonable investment back home. Don't make the move yet - if you don't want to regret it later. 1. You ought to have some investment back home - especially real estate such as Land and houses. 2. Ensure you are properly trained and learnt some good skills, in an area of interest, that you can covert to money. 3. You ought to have arranged and start a registered business or company. 4.You will need to re-initiate good contacts with reliable friends and family (do not disclose your worth or intensions yet). 5. You would need to start visiting Nigeria at least twice, in a year and spend minimum of a month each time before relocating finally. And, 6. Finally, commit your steps unto the lord and your thoughts ( plans) shall be established. Returns, from those land and building investments will be providing you the required sustenance until your business/company picks up fully. The easiest place to live well and become a billionaire is Nigeria, not the UK or the US. There is a reason why God place us in Africa, the mother of all continents. You wonder why I have a carefully planned points up there? *smiles*. Many of us do have similar plans for the foreseable future. Nigeria is the country to be... the economy will boom massively in the next 10 years and only those who are fully prepared will benefits immensely from it. A word is enough for the wise I wish you all the best. |

Coldie:Japada UK is not for the faint Ti ode ba tile...pada wale o Info: The correct phrase is simply "return"; "return back" is redundant as "return" already implies the action of going back...same applies to reverse back |

First of all breathe in and out, relax and you are in charge of your mental health, therefore nothing can crush you if you do not let it. If you have saved money, it will be okay to return to Nigeria. Because inflation is high, i am sure the UK is affected, and I heard they want to sell the gold in their reserve. So i can understand an aspect of the depression. Secondly, please seek professional opinion, if you are a christian, spend time in prayer and reading your bible. Maybe you are just working and you dont have time to breathe and you face some forms of racism. Be strong, remember in Nigeria, we are also racists too. If you are missing family and friends, try and make new friends but be very careful with the kind of friend you choose, only responsible sensible type. |

DO NOT RETURN BACK TO NIGERIA. I REPEAT, DO NOT RETURN BACK TO NIGERIA. I REPEAT AGAIN, DO NOT RETURN BACK TO NIGERIA. You'll experience depression pro max when you come back. Put yourself together you'll be fine. |

Coldie:Come and start investing gradually , till your small business can stand on its own then you move . I don’t know any business you can be running from the UK . If it’s Nigerians that will manage it while you are away then you will realize why they don’t believe in Nigeria themselves. |

Coldie:Come back home and go into farming if you have enough savings, Ogun state is a good place for you if you can find opportunity in farming you will be shock by what you will achieve and you will gain your sanity back. I will advise to listen to people's stories on YouTube who have relocated back to Nigeria from abroad to to have a lead on how to go about it. |

Uk is not a place I consider worthy of relocating to. I declined an offer from Uk because I don't like their system of government and economy of taxation. |

Coldie: Living abroad can be lonely and difficult for anyone not mentally strong due to the lack of friends and family presence. First speak to a mental health team, have it checked up medically. If you’re medically fine, then take a long break from work. Travel for 6 months to nigeria to see friends and families and other countries to clear your head and figure out life. Every adult is going thru stress and if not checked well it can be depressing. Wishing you all the best in this life journey. |

Coldie:Nairaland is a wrong place to get a honest feedback on this because most people here are driven by the Japa syndrome (abroad or nothing mentality). I personally have 2 friends who relocated back to Nigeria and doing great, one now works with the World Bank Nigeria, the other works with Lagos Busines School. A close family member relocated from Dubai 4years ago and currently doing better in Nigeria Do proper calculations and you could be fine with whatever you decide. Am personally not moved with Abroad mentality and many of us are doing fine here regardless |

Coldie:Reality is Better than Dream . Just like Someone said that Depression develops from inside in relation to your environment and some other Personal Issues . There are People that doesn't even gets depressed by what you Consider as depressive. Your Thoughts of " If I could move to Nigeria the My Depression would be over is not a Good Calculation . Until you finds someone who you can Divulge to and he or she helps you as a companion to do the Talking . |

Namaster:False! You are more likely to get depressed in the west than any part of the world. Africans have a community spirit imbedded in them. They are naturally fun, poor or rich. Western world is “All man for himself”. Bills be chasing you like you gonna get killed. Talk about food, you will feed on GMO till you become obese. The West is just an over exaggerated world. It’s world where you just have to keep moving. It’s very easy to lose all in the west and knowing that will keep you on your toes forever. |
