Calitoscassius:
What kinda advice is this? grin this would make him even more depressed. You think all you mentioned above are that easy to achieve? grin grin grin houses? Yea right! How many houses. If he had the money to build houses he would need to re locate back to Liegeria.
Did he tell you; he did not have some money? He needs sellable skills. there are many opportunities in Nigeria and with the little funds and careful planning. He can get his life back, full time and still be a blessing to others.

This is where you are missing it. Most of you think it is all about money, all the time. This life is more than money. Fulfilment of purpose and peace of mind surpasses all.

Even if it is 1 or 2 houses (plus landed secured somewhere properties) that he is getting some rentage form and a few other stuffs that he does that brings money. then he is averagely secured financially at least until he finds his feats.

One thing most of you don't realize is...you sow what you reap into an environment. if you sow negativity, then you will reap the reward, but if you decide to sow positivity, you will always see opportunities where others are complaining.

Nigeria remains one of the best places to make it easily and legit too.

And Africans with dark skin need vitamin D in the west to improve their mood and strengthen the bones, because its supports calcium absorption.

CoronaVirusPro:
False! You are more likely to get depressed in the west than any part of the world.

Africans have a community spirit imbedded in them. They are naturally fun, poor or rich.

Western world is “All man for himself”. Bills be chasing you like gonna get killed.

Talk about food, you will feed on GMO till you become obese.

The West is just an over exaggerated world. It’s world where you just have to keep moving. It’s very easy to lose all in the west and knowing that will keep you on your toes forever.

I have been in the UK for sometime now and the system has totally swallowed me, I feel very depressed and I want to leave permanently. I can only visit but not live there anymore. What’s the possibility.

How is Nigeria at present?

How much do I need to start back?
The way you feel about UK is the same way I feel about Nigeria.
I wish we could switch places right now.

First of all, you need to realise that depression is like body odour. It'll follow you EVERYWHERE you go.

If you feel so depressed that you're already suicidal, you need to get it treated ASAP.

DON'T let your depression push you into making a life-threatening MISTAKE.

TACKLE your depression in UK.
DON'T make any DRASTIC decision until you've done that.

If you think your life is HAR D in UK, Nigeria would make it look like a tutorial.

Returning to Nigeria should NEVER be an option unless you are 83 and waiting to DIE.
Big fat lie

You obviously know nothing about western societies

At the age you mentioned, you are already abandoned by society and if you are lucky, they dump you in old people’s home

Nigeria is actually not as bad as you think.
At least, you have people around you you relate with.
You wouldn't know the value of that until you don't have it.

Happiness and mental health is important to life and whatever money or achievements u have made for urself so pls return back if u want to. Some succeed by travelling out and others by returning back...

Look at Davido, dbanj and burna they all returned home to kickstart the careers and the rest is history.

Don't panic just plan correctly to the best of ur ability and follow through. Godbless

Many unfortunate idiots will come for you because of your last paragraph. Be ready.
Thanks for your observation!

I do have the inkling something of such would happen. I will hope a few people would read in-between the lines and gain a few insights and learn of me. Otherwise, I will leave them to their reprobate mind about Nigeria.

One thing I have realized it. One can never make any good of an environment he/she sows negativity always. Such a soul would always reap negativity and will never see any good thing about that environment be it UK, US or Canada or even heaven.
Re: I Want To Return Back To Nigeria From UK Permanently by VanuatuWycombe:
You may take a long time off, sir - like 1 year, since you said you have stayed longer abroad.

Changing location, would, definitely, help your mental health sir.

Hit. Nigeria with some cash, lead a low-key life because of our security situations and to know who really likes you.

You would, additionally, need to invest (that’s if you haven’t done that, sir) in something that would take care of your bills while you are in Nigeria eg., like buying a rental property in better location where daily or monthly rental income is guaranteed. You can take 2 years’ rental as you are landing and that would take care of Naija expenses on families and friends who would be looking up to you for something.

While you are home, study all ‘studyable’ to know what you may really like to properly invest in, when you eventually choose to finally relocate.

Depression is likely caused as a result of experiencing unresolved stress by them in a system completely different and removed from that which their minds and heads had formerly become used to. undecided

The thing about depression is that rather than push the victims towards facing the trauma, depression suggests other irrational ideas shifting the mind away from the problem itself. undecided

Bro come back to Nigeria, I swear u won't regret it..forget the abroad brouhaha, u will live ur life here.

This ur story is exactly why I ditched my Canada dream to stay here, I can't live another person life laye.

I see abroad as a school life, just like higher institutions life of a Christian fellow. From work to house to work to house to work to house. And u only do this to pay bills... even ur savings are irrelevant unless u come to a country where their currency is lower in strength.

But please while coming, plan it well.

U can get a contact in ur UK who will be supplying you some UK gadgets phones and accessories, if u no drive benz make I know why.

Where are your friends and family? You need to share your thoughts with someone physical. If you're legally living in UK, this may not be the best of time to return.

Sit down and make your plans clear. All will be well with you in Jesus' Name. Amen

You are blaming a country for how you feel instead of seeking why you feel how you feel. And you think you can run away from how you feel where you are and it wouldn't follow you where you go.

I tried that once. Ran away from UK to Mexico City only to find I'd packed what I was running from and took it with me. I was on a year contract, so got stuck with it there in a foreign land too.

It was really yuck being irresponsible.
