Why did Sowore and Okpara fail to lobby their federal lawmakers to stop the Police Act amendment in 2024, instead of this crying over spilled milk

Some people here pretend not to be born when certain military generals at the point of retirement were appointed as service chiefs under President Buhari, and the same still served for over 5 years (exceeding one term of 4 years), before they were changed.
Where were these people when a certain retired ARMY colonel (born 15 January 1955) was brought back from retirement at age 60 years, and made comptroller general of Nigerian CUSTOMS for 8 years (from 2015 to 2023) ?

You guys are confusionist, Buhari signed the act 2020 and in 2024 was amended to reflect the 2020 proviso of Tenure of office for IGP-It can applied to any occupier of that office, please!

So does that mean in 4 years time it could be amended again to enable him serve another 4 years until he is in his late 60s? What of the army, navy etc, can the same thing happen there? What will happen to the next batch of prospective IGs, the DIGs, AIGs, what will happen since oga did not leave at age 60? It seems a regrettable precedent may have been set.
