Where I come from in Cross River State, we use fishing nets and hooks. Our women bail out water too.,

I usually set traps with my nets and fishing hooks on evenings and whenever I returned the next day early morning before 6am, I always have a very large amount of fishes waiting for me...all live.

If you don't go on time, crabs will kill them (excluding electric fishes though), eat the body and leave the heads for you.
