Re: Spar To Charge ₦150 For Nylon Bags Due To "Ban" by joshuaidibia(m): 9:01am On Feb 01, 2025
Even Spar can't speak English. Which one is "Will be" instead of "we'll be or we will be"

Excuse me, how can something be banned and you are charging for it. Does this mean they are selling contraband?

These people are not serious. Nigerians will simply abandon them and shop elsewhere. My wife was telling me their shelves are empty.

Shoprite has already started charging N150 for bags angry

It was Bokku Supermarket that first started that rubbish now everyone is copying them angry
Items are cheaper in Bokku and their Nylon is of the best quality i have seen.

I can’t say the same for Spar & Shoprite, especially Spar; sometimes i wonder why people go there when items are cheaper in your neighborhood supermarket

The same nylon that carries all forms of Spar adverts and I will pay #150?
So, once #150 is paid then the ban is canceled?
Re: Spar To Charge ₦150 For Nylon Bags Due To "Ban" by Starz825(m): 9:04am On Feb 01, 2025

If govt ban the use of nylon why are they still charging for the use of the same item that has already been bannedhuh

How is the way to go?

Why should a patron pay to get a bag to carry the stuff purchased in an establishment?! huh
Who should bear the cost of producing the bags? Besides, the bags are hardly reused, causing plastic pollution everywhere. So the "penalty " of 150 naira is a good idea. Shoppers now decide which is the wiser option: Bring their own bags or continue throwing away 150 naira in this emilokan economy.
Re: Spar To Charge ₦150 For Nylon Bags Due To "Ban" by Tendd:
It is long overdue.I hope all traders and businesses begin to do the same.l also hope the prices are subsequently increased and quality improved as wey.People would now begin to keep their old nylon bags for reuse rather than discarding them. Those bags are seen all over our streets and it takes long to decay.

Bokku supermarket have been doing that since inception.

Nothing new here.

No need for that. Just ask them for empty carton, they will be so glad to give you. You’ll only be helping them to dispose of the waste of empty cartons.
They wont give you cos before niw they use to sell them

E go reach everyone.

Meanwhile, who's the manager that aprroved for this to be written?

Didn't they proofread it before sending for printing?

After they will say school na scam yet see the bad tenses and words the person wrote.

If you can't see it then e be like say you too should go and collect your school fees back.
So many errors, especially grammatical ones.

1. Capitalizing all the first alphabets
2. ... there will be a CHARGES of ₦150...

And so many more

If you don't like it, take your own bag with you to SPAR. Simple! Everywhere you look you d see plastic waste polluting the whole country.

Ban every commodity wrapped in plastic or nylon as unu call it.

Everything food is now wrapped in plastic. We drink and eat plastic in our food daily. It is bad enough we are comsuming metal daily in our food. We shouldn't be eating plastic too.

How did they know Lagos will enforce the regulation ? Truly BOKU is owned by Obasa

It’s going to be paper bag now, not nylon again. Since it is going to be a branded paper bag, SPAR too would make a few bucks on handling and logistics of the paper bag.

It's not their fault, the government ban the use of nylon without bringing another means of moving your goods. The supermarket takes good opportunity of the ban to get more money..
..why did the government ban nylon...so lagosians will not use nylons in Lagos again..I do not understand

Cos they want to reduce its usage and discourage people from using using it.
