Now, they use it to target the largely black/minority communities which happen to be mostly liberal and democratic, politically.

As a good example; try asking - if you’re in America - any white person that uses that word to explain it to you. You’ll quickly find out that they will never give you a straight unemotional response because they either don’t know what it means or they just know that it has racial connotations and therefore have no qualms using it, especially when they’re angry.
