How can a shot in the arm be fatal.
Most fatal shots either hit a sensitive organ or ruptured a major artery that will cause one to bleed to death, if bleeding is not stopped.

He is a stupid and undisciplined soldier. He didn't think of how to stop the bleeding, but rather makes videos. That injury is not a life threatening one, his stats looks good in the video. As a punishment for relinquishing duty to focus on money and salary, he should be casted face down in the grave if actually he eventually passed which I seriously doubt. And all his entitlement should be seized. Guns were blazing and he was busy making video there by letting his comrades down.
