Who's behind this instability?

I don't believe it's just two parties fighting for power. Who funds them, where do they buy weapons from?
These are countries that had armies and weapons before the war broke out. So, if Nigeria and Ghana for example start a war tomorrow, you will e asking who funds the war? Forgetting that Ghana and Nigeria has a standing military with weapons of their own.
You guys are always itching to fault the West whenever any war breaks out on this planet.

A short video circulating on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), shows a Congolese soldier recording what would be his final moments on the battlefield.

In the footage, he pleads with a friend to take care of his family if he does not survive. He specifically requests that his salary and war bonus be sent to his family, as he fears he will not make it through the battle.

Showing his wounded arm, he reveals that he has been shot and expresses doubt about his chances of survival.

According to reports, he died shortly after recording the video.

What most of you don't know is that in Africa our bullets are laced with poison.

Have you ever wondered why every hip hop rapper in America has survived minimum of 5 gun shots? Meanwhile in Africa when you survive your leg will become deformed or even rotten and need to be amputated.

I have been in a vehicle with a mobile police man in the village and a bush meat crossed the road infront of our car and the police man regretted that he could not shoot it because if he did the meat will be poisoned by his bullet and thus not edible. Na so we dey look the Bush meat dey cross road like primary school student. Nothing we fit do.

Come on now... he'll survive. It's his arm, as long as no major blood vessel is affected, he is good. Also, there is an exit wound, meaning the bullet passed through.
A tourniquet will help with reducing or totally stopping blood loss...dude is being dramatic. grin
Dramatic? You've been watching too many action movies. Brainrotted armchair warrior who thinks a gunshot wound in the arm is just a flesh wound.

Infection for one. Two, he was still on the battlefield when he recorded which means that another could still get him after the recording.
Yes,I heard a heavy gun shot in the video background.
Meaning maybe the enemies have surrounded them and chances of survival maybe very minimal

And if armies choose to checkmate the excesses of politicians, many, if not all wars wouldn't be needed. So yes, thank God I didn't join the army. Why can't we just have peace? I can confidently tell you that both the attacking army and the defending army can avoid bloodshed by pointing their guns against the real enemies of their people (those stupid old idiots). However, I choose to ignore your insults. It speaks a lot about your level of maturity.

The thing is interminable. It has started again. There is this faction called M23. AI is not my thing, but here is a summary from Google Gemini -

----

M23, or the March 23 Movement, is a Congolese Tutsi-led rebel military group primarily operating in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Here's a breakdown of their history and recent activities:

Origins and Early Rebellion (2012-2013):

Formed in 2012 by soldiers who defected from the Congolese army, claiming the government failed to honor a 2009 peace agreement.
Primarily active in North Kivu province, bordering Rwanda and Uganda.
In 2012, they captured Goma, a major city in eastern DRC, before withdrawing under international pressure.
The rebellion was largely quelled by 2013 after a joint UN and Congolese military offensive.
Resurgence (2022-Present):

M23 re-emerged in late 2021 and launched a new offensive in 2022.
They have captured significant territory in North Kivu, including the strategic border town of Bunagana.
Their resurgence has led to renewed fighting with the Congolese army and displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians.
The group's renewed offensive has raised concerns about regional stability and humanitarian crisis in eastern DRC.
Key Issues and Concerns:

Alleged Rwandan Support: The DRC and various international actors have accused Rwanda of backing the M23, a claim Rwanda denies.
Human Rights Abuses: M23 has been accused of committing numerous human rights violations, including killings, rapes, and recruitment of child soldiers.
Regional Instability: The conflict has further destabilized the already volatile Great Lakes region of Africa.
Humanitarian Crisis: The fighting has led to a significant humanitarian crisis, with hundreds of thousands displaced and in need of assistance.
Recent Developments:

As of January 2025, M23 controls several towns in North Kivu, including Bunagana, Kiwanja, Kitchanga, Rubaya, Rutshuru, and parts of Goma.
The group's leadership has indicated intentions to advance further, raising fears of a wider conflict.
The situation remains fluid and volatile, with ongoing efforts by regional and international actors to mediate a peaceful resolution.

The question was open ended but you decided to pick sides. A rebel group and a country; who funds the rebels and why?

It's simple if you don't have the answers it's fine.

CONGO AS A COUNTRY NEEDS TO BE SPLIT INTO 10 OR MORE COUNTRIES FOR EASIER ADMINISTRATION.

Their biggest size that is supposed to be the source of strength appears to be their most challenging tasks.

Otherwise, it's nearly impossible for that minor injury to kill him.
