Do You Believe In An Afterlife Or Some Sort Of Existence Beyond Death? by fuckJones(op): 6:04am On Feb 02, 2025

I'm asking everyone. Believers and non-believers. Rather you believe in heaven, nothing, or something new, I want to hear it and your reason for it. I thought about this question and it sometimes scares me. I generally can deal with it, but sometimes it just sucks my mind into a void of knowing of my demise and possibly losing memories of the life I love and the experiences I had.

If you have ever stepped out of your body, you would know its a no brainer. You exist beyond the physical and you are far more than you know.

A Soul travel experience will put your mind at rest concerning issues of death and what will happen after you die.

Something in me always tell me there's life after death, that after we close our eyes here we open them somewhere else.

There is.

Humans need to understand that this physical body is like a cloth to their very existence.

If you die today, this physical body turns to dust or sand, while you keep living because you are created in God's image, so the spirit can't die.

After body death, if you spirit is clean by the washing of the blood of Jesus, you go be with God, but if you are not yet cleansed, whatever the nonsense you practiced whether Culture, Islam, Buddhism etc, you go away from God

And your spirit will not find it funny if you miss God's kingdom, it would be a loud "had I known"

But I know you will receive Jesus Christ today, and be free, and embrace His wonderful work on the cross for You and I.

Don't joke with your spirit being. Spirit cannot die. Only peace or damnation.

According to God's word (Bible) there is resurrection and this will affect two sets of people:

*RIGHTEOUS: Those who knew God's standard and lived by it so from God's viewpoint they have been declared righteous.

*UNRIGHTEOUS: Those who lived by their God's given conscience even though they never knew God's law but they tried as much as they could to avoid doing what they won't accept to their fellow man! Romans 2:14-15; Matthew 7:12

So God's word says there will be a resurrection of both righteous and the unrighteous! Act 24:15

But there is another separate set of people who will never be remembered during resurrection these people never cared about God or conscience so when God is bringing the righteous and unrighteous back to life in Paradise the WICKED will not be given such opportunity! Psalms 9:17

Apart from these there is no life after death because the memories of dead people has been wiped out immediately after they died and they have no share again in life! Ecclesiastes 9:5-10

As far as I know memory is tied to brain processes, no brain, no memory. I have no memory because I had no brain. Even more explicitly, consciousness is based on the brain and body processes which didn't exist before I was born and will cease when I die.

Indeed, and that's fair enough, but it must occur to you that all you know of your existence on this plane is that one day you just opened your eyes and found yourself here. If nothing else, this should leave you open to the vast possibilities that may exist regarding your holistic existence. For as you just opened your eyes one day and found yourself here - without creating yourself, without doing anything for it, and with no prior memory - you should at least suspect that you could also open your eyes somewhere else one day and find yourself there with no prior memory as well.
