Again, I can see the method to the madness....aid money is basically a waste of time, and may even hinder development, rather than help it.

But aid is also a reason why the USA Is percieved as a global power. USAID has been in the forefront of making the US look good to the rest of the world. Shutting it down would leave the field open for other countries like China and company.

China has been funneling aid to Africa a lot, especially since the year 2000(who do you think gave us the rail link between Abuja and Kaduna, for example...and the new AU HQ In Addis.?)...and even before then (google Tanzam railway).

You left out some important parts.

If the rich man was donating and giving them, and the people started getting very “belleful” and even started challenging the rich man to a fight, started joining alliances with people to challenge the rich man and so on. Even worse, the same rivals the community people are joining to fight the rich man don’t give shishi without collecting part of your sovereignty.

If the rich man withdraws support, the people will go hungry and realize how foolish they have been, and yes they will respect the rich man because they have no choice and you can’t even still do much globally without them, and any new aid they get from him, they will greatly appreciate it.

Where in the world do people keep feeding those who are using their aid to challenge them?

Saudi Arabia commits billions annually to Aid. The musb issue is you think aid is free money given to a nation in need, but that's the wrong perspective. Financial aid is a political tool. Saudi five millions in aid to Nigeria especially in the North East war impacted area, I think they have a large commitment with UNESCO and UN environment agency to combat desertification

I agree. If it affects him badly, then he should stop with the donations. The question now is this... Is America getting affected badly from its donations to impoverished nations?

Actually ,I like China more than USA and I believe a lot of wise Nigerians share the same sentiment because China is more peaceful and share technology with other countries unlike US that cause chaos everywhere and wants to gatekeep technology.

The only debacle to Nigeria relationship with China is distance and language barrier.

It's called Aid and it's given through recognized official channel. However it's well undetood in the international space that aid is used to advance the interests of the donor country. Americans and EU have perfected the act of using aid to project their interests and a few good books have been written to document this facts.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey ,Iran ,China etc are relative new entrants in this scheme

Yes they're seriously bleeding from wastage of funds.
Another serious issue is that the donations didn't improve the lives of the receivers instead it made them worse. USAID and similar funds were meant to alleviate poverty instead poverty increased due to mismanagement. NGOs are money milking schemes.
HIV fund aid didn't reduce the spread of Hiv either.
Zelensky the president of Ukraine came out openly to reveal part of the funds allocated to them missing.
See how WHO messed up the management of COVID 19 which lead to massive deaths despite the huge funding. Terrorists have taken over humanitarian zones unleashing terror and recruiting more faithfuls.

So many loopholes have to be blocked and it takes a brave leader like Trump to do that
