Alapomeji was hot that year sha

Tems was 13 years old when Alapomeji boasted that he'll bag a Grammy.

17 years after no Grammy and 9ice has gone into musical oblivion and is just a footnote in the evolution of Afrobeats.

Truly, the future belongs to the youths.

Love me Jeje, sampled off the 1997 Seyi Sodimu and Shaffy Bello classic of the same name, has no Africanness?
People just be saying anything. Well deserved Grammy. I'm thrilled for her. She's someone that has faced a lot of heat for being herself, some even said she can't sing

Sorry to Drake fans. Kendrick went 5/5. Even I wasn't expecting that.

This was generational humiliation and the entire Hollywood or Hollyweird were dancing on his grave.

That marital crisis and resultant beef with rugged man ended 9ice’s career . He just lost focus , his lyrical tap ran dry and he just couldn’t produce hit any longer .

The sky is her starting point, she's really impressed me. Not just her singing skills, the fact that I don't see her yansh plastered on my screen every market day also impresses me, very well deserved win.

Just a side note: 9ice lost his voice, and it really affected him. It pretty much halted his blossoming career.

I like that she has stayed true to herself. I have a soft spot for her and I love that she didn't resort to singing pangolo riddims just to conform like Yemi Alade did.

They shamed her to showing her bumbum which she later did, we are not complaining but the fact that she remained her sultry self and never went full rachet is very pleasing to see

The beef and marital crisis affected his popularity .

I’ve come to realize that in Nigerian music industry , u need to be releasing songs steadily and continue to be in people's face or else u will fade away no matter how talented u are .

Initially I was one of the few Olamide fans that always complain about how he releases too many singles/albums . I felt he was releasing too many works and wasn’t spacing them enough . But seeing what happened to 9ice , I think Olamide knew what he was doing .

In fact , I think Olamide going into studio and dropping at least one album and several singles every year is what has kept him up there till now .

I don’t think it was really about 9ice losing his voice , it was just a case of 9ice being away from scene for too long and when he wanted to come back he was releasing songs that were mid at best. People wey no get voice reach am sef Dey release songs wey Dey bang. That his misadventure into politics also derailed his career .

I don’t know about Tekno but I don jam 9ice for 3 different parties since he became less popular and he still had the same voice we listen to on his records.
