My Daughter Not Responsible For US Based Nigerian Doctor's Death..father by Discountsempai(op): 6:50pm On Feb 02, 2025
Vanguard News

A Nigerian businessman, Francis Van-Lare, has denied claims that his daughter, Suzette Chibuogu, was responsible for the tragic death of her ex-husband, Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a U.S.-based Nigerian cardiologist who reportedly took his own life.

Dr. Erinne, a 36-year-old medical professional from Anambra State, reportedly committed suicide on Sunday, January 26.

However, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the events leading up to his death.

Van-Lare stated that Dr. Erinne had gone to his daughter’s house on the day of the incident and held her, their children, and the nanny at gunpoint for three hours.

According to him, the situation escalated when the nanny managed to escape and alerted law enforcement authorities.

He alleged that when police arrived at the scene, Erinne, rather than face “three counts of kidnapping with a deadly weapon,” which carried a potential sentence of “25 years to life on each count,” chose to end his own life.

He wrote on his Facebook page, “While there was a custody battle my daughter is involved in and I only became aware last Monday morning about 3 am Nigerian time that the deceased held her and her children at gun point for three hours after losing a custody battle , the nanny managed to escape and called the police and on arrival of the police he shot himself dead . I guess he decided to kill himself instead of facing three counts of kidnapping with a deadly weapon 25 years to life each.

“While I sympathize with his family for his death , my daughter is not responsible for him taking his own life and I thank God it did not degenarate to where he shoots my daughter , grand children and himself .

May his soul rest in peace . Everyone is loser here and it is traumatizing for all including me. No winners here.”

He needn't have gone with a gun to the ex wife's residence , mind you.

The thing about anger, from someone like me who when younger had an anger issue problem is simple. You can be in the right, but once you lose control, people won't remember that you were in the right, they will only know you as that evil tempestuous person

This is why free guns is the most foolish "right" any country can grant its citizens.
Mad people, the angry and the frustrated can easily be pushed into unwanted
positions by virtue of easy access to guns.

If he lived in Europe, he would have gone to the ex-wife's house either to fight with
his mouth or hand and will calm down eventually and will still be alive.

There are always two sides to a story. Some online in-laws have hastily concluded that he committed suicide without dropping the back story.

Unless he had no intention of taking care of his kids, that guy died for nothing. Paying 15K monthly for his children's upkeep is nothing; considering that he was a professional with a good salary. People over react unnecessarily.

This Man did not tell the whole story. The Doctor went to that location out of the frustration of losing the custody battle and monthly child support Bill of $15,000.
On top of this, this Man's daughter ensured late Doc licence to practice is withdrawn.
Where was this Man when his daughter destroyed that young man, why did he not step in. He's only interested in washing his image being a father to someone who destroyed another person's Son.

She must be a magician to have pulled this off. Do you think it is Nigeria where anything goes?

Why is no one talking about the violent side of the guy?

Van-Lare stated that Dr. Erinne had gone to his daughter’s house on the day of the incident and held her, their children, and the nanny at gunpoint for three hours.
there is a lot to unpack from here

the fact that Dr Erinne went to the daughters house means they were already separated

the fact that he picked a gun, carried it went to the house with it, and threatened his wife and children with it show that at the minium he has serious anger management issues

the man was 36 years old. he was likely pulling down 500gs with the potential; to earn even more. this was not about the money. this was about control

las las he should have married from naija but that is a story for another day.

I expected the father to the role here daughter played in having her husband ruined and yet asking for $15,000 child support as against painting the guy as the evil one. Something must have provoked him.

As much as there won't be anyone to pay for the child support. That dead man lost.
Cus you can't have rich culture back home and choose to take your life. That's low

This man has been a red piller online always bragging on how a woman broke his heart and how he used women ever since.
If the lady wasn't his daughter, the story will fit in perfectly to the redpill madness he was evangelizing. But trust man and hypocrisy. He is already telling an unreported story painting his former son in-law as irrational and psychotic.
Human beings are hypocrite.

So person look finish, na this phoolish man, a 3 times divorcee, na her daughter you decided to go and marry.
A girl that is product of broken home. She must have grown up with all that vengeance, Gen Z attitude she learnt from her daddy's broken homes.
The Doc must have been such a blind fellow mentally, so much not to expect that the girl will act the way she did. He had it coming!

What a waste!

Obviously you are trying to make excuses for the deceased who acting on impulse and anger violated the existing court order that put a restraining order on him being within reasonable distance from his estranged wife .

He invaded the house with a deadly weapon and held the wife and kids as hostages.

I believe the wife must have dropped evidence in court during their divorce proceedings of past domestic violence. It's probably that evidence that was used by the Medicial Board to have him delisted from their register.

I am not going to make any excuses for the wife's behaviour or what led to their marital troubles but truth be told, the deceased had a violent streak.

Anyways nah dem-dem so in no concern me.

He is a popular Facebook public figure that brags about his 5 failed marriages and Playboy lifestyle. He was the 70-year-old man whose story made fp about bedding over 200 women and threatened to release their names. His most publicised marriage was to another serial divorcee Amara Nwosu who has reunited with her first husband after 4 failed marriages. This is why it's very important to look deep into the background of whoever you want to marry to avoid stories that touch. We can only hope news of Amara's daughters messy divorces won't start making the rounds when the time comes.

I didn't know Amara married reach 4. The same first husband that she said was putting bullet proof around his own room, that she had to go and sleep in Police Station?

This same Amara is a relationship expert that teaches her sheepies to vacate their husbands' homes and divorce immediately. But she is getting married over and over, after some fools have left their homes.

I also thought van lare was her 2nd husband but I read somewhere that he's the 3rd, she went on to marry the divorce attorney that handled her divorce from van lare and the marriage crashed within a year. Last I heard, she had returned to Nigeria and is about to reunite with the "husband of her youth" who may be married btw. I've not been active on Facebook to see how that went. What offed me is the way women carry their relationship and marriage issues to her page for advice. What kind of advice do you want to get from a woman that cannot keep a stable relationship? She has 3 daughters and a son and for their sake, I hope the apple falls far far away from the tree.

Lesson learnt, Never go to a Doctor whose office is sorrounded by dead plants.
