Doctors rarely make that type of money. Many cardiologists barely top out at $400,000. The actually child support was $1,900 monthly. It is a fair amount due to his salary and the child's disabilities. The man was having trouble on his job, his parents refused to accept the lady for marriage and the custody hearing pushed him over the edge. He held the woman, child at nanny hostage. Thankfully the nanny escaped to call the police. Once he knew the police were approaching, he took his own life. Depression is real.

If it must get to the extreme of taking your life, make sure you send somebody there to at least go and open the gate for you. It appears 😳 the Judge and the father in law was supposed to have been sent to open the gate for him.

It appears that the father inlaw was never of much help in trying to reconcile the couple. Quite embarrassing the way he's the one speaking out and taking sides when we have no insight into the other side of the story.

When you marry a man or woman, you are marrying a family. Behavioral traits are usually consistent across every member of that family. Do your due diligence and research exhaustively about the family you are marrying into, so that you don't end up like this young doctor.

I don’t want to speculate on whether $15,000 was outrageous or not because I don’t have all the information, but any man who pays child support should make 100% decision of what school his children go to, and what events and activities they’re enrolled in that cost money. That’s what every provider who is with their children do. That decision should not be made by the woman and forced on the man by the court. If the wife doesn’t agree, she can get a job and augment. The child belongs to the man too and he wants the best for them.

I know litigation costs a lot of money, but he could’ve appealed the decision rather than take the suicide route.

Update: I see some people think the family will be broke because of his exit, but that’s not usually the case, probably most men at his career level have insurance policies worth millions, often facilitated through their workplaces and/or private insurance, so the family should be fine financially.

Also for educational purposes, many/most life insurance policies in the US cover suicide with an exclusion period, usually within the first year or two, which means after one or two years, suicide is covered
