The Imo State government is seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down a suspected leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Ifeanyi Okorienta alias ‘Gentle. Governor Hope Uzodinma has promised to give N35 million to anyone with useful information that will lead to the arrest of Gentle. The offer also include a visa abroad. Gentle and his gang members have been terrorising residents of some parts of the state in recent times. Okorienta and his gang were recently dislodged from their hideouts in Aku village, Okigwe Council Area of the state by joint team of security operatives. The security operatives were led by Brig.-Gen. Usman Lawal, the Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Obinze, Owerri. During the raid on the hideouts, several shallow graves where members of IPOB and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) allegedly bury their victims were discovered. https://newsday.com.ng/gov-uzodinma-offers-n35m-reward-for-arrest-of-ipob-leader/ 2 Likes
