Elon Musk's goal in my opinion is to dismantle regulatory frameworks so that he and his fellow oligarchs can do anything they want

just think of how businesses are run in Nigeria on a larger scale.

we have regulatory failures. now what will happen if there is no regulation at all?

smart enough to skirt the rules, but not wise enough to know why they are there

my former ceo used to really push us on projects. once we had a death on a project. we reported to DPR, paid fines and the project was on hold for months.

when the guy went to a new place, he pushed people even harder and there were three deaths DIRECTLY related to his actions. but this time they were covered up. but the word still got out. today no one will employ him. people are hop step jumping in the industry but the guy has had to move to a completely different industry

musk wants to eliminate process and safety and eliminate the consequences for bypassing process and safety. if there is no DPR who gets sanctioned if there is a death on site?
what musk is doing is to stand up toe to toe and dismantle the woke leftists from inside out, I love bold people with good intentions who can also go dirty..

The world have had enough of woke bullshits funded by the USAID..

Elon from the onset put his skin in the game, he from the onset choosed a side.. imagine that kind of risk when you show your hands that early as Elon did (even when the woke leftists was in power) it'd had been a disaster for him if Kamala had won..
That's what's called bravery... Musk earned it and his is quite right to go after the people who killed and transitioned his son..

And I'm happy for him .

We have had enough of those bullshits.. A change is due and it's here..and we all should be happy we have people like Elon who is ready to go toe to toe and also on the human side

I want to assume the "We" in your statement is I and you

Because if you think any leader is losing sleep about what will happen, na joke be that.

That is why I am weeping in my heart that these aids are about to stop. When the outbreaks, crimes, kidnappings start, na still the common man be the only beneficiary
Those vices are already at an all time high. You and I will go out of our way to protect ourselves and our properties noni. Crying won't solve anything.

maybe if you have a relative die in a tank on the job you will understand that safety is not woke or dei.

one of my classmates died in a tank years ago while trying to rescue another worker who had entered the tan and fainted

he left behind a family.

that is what organisations like osha are about - enforcement of safety and rules.

but safety slows things down and so unwise business men try to bypass process

a filling station is supposed to be shut down when tanker is discharging. but for some business men that is lost revenue. so it makes more sense for them to discharge and sell at the same time - safety be damned

that is what elon is going for. dismantling of regulations

he is just using the buzzwords you like to hear to mask it. woke, dei etc

As common as Vitamin A, Nigerian government cannot give its citizens for free.

NGOs will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure babies in the deepest part of our states have that pill in their mouth.

Maybe SA does not receive aids like Nigeria, but Nigeria is a very big beneficiary of these aids.

Any Nigerian cheering Trump on this has no idea of the great losses we are about to experience
The funniest people are the ones who believe the person who once called Nigeria a shithole is going to do anything to alter foreign policy towards it

Or the delusional ones who believe he will 'de classify' Tinubu FBI files. Or do anything to influence an election in favour of Peter Obi.

Na so we shout for subsidy, them talk say people dey use am steal. Since them comot am how far?

Lol.

Then someone in his one room in Ajangbadi with no wardrobe that hasn't seen light in three weeks will follow a white nationalist and be shouting 'deep state'.

Anyway, it is here that we are.

I can't speak for Trump sha because I honestly don't know how his mind works nor do I have a deep insight into what he is doing in far away America. But one thing I've noticed is that some of his actions are getting nod/support of the people going by the engagement from his tweets online . Whether that means something , I will never know.

I am not an expert on American politics , so I will just be on the sideline reading opinion of people who know more about that.
not really. the right has control of the media right now - so you will only see a particular narrative

you can see google renaming gulf of mexico gulf of america
elon actively had pro kamala discourse blocked on twitter
same reportedly happened on instagram
facebook is paying trump because they banned him post jan 6

and the doj is now like the efcc, going after anyone who pisses off trump so even left leaning media houses will be careful what they report

just think of nigerian govt on steroids

What's the naivete is saying we will face the consequences of our own people in government stealing from our commonwealth over the years while leaving the country to go to shiit?

Shey na Americans or Chinese go come help us face the consequence if we don't face it ni?

Is it America that was giving "repentant Boko Haram" amnesty ni or it was America that was renovating mosque instead of providing quality education to the teeming youth? Is it America that turned school drop out o Agbero and started elevating these Agberos to people of station in the country?

Majority of our problems in this country are man made/self made.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 10:01am On Feb 05, 2025
this is the closet thing elon musk has to a mentor

Peter thiel.

who is also gay and who destroyed a media entity for announcing this

Thiel is also backing Vance

this is not about identity politcs. that is just the packaging

this is about state capture by oligarchs

and it has begun.

The naïveté is in expecting Nigerian leaders to step up.

Brother I served in the north, and as izzou said, there are a lot of places where the entire heath and education systems are staffed entirely by NGOs and Corps members.

Anarchy looms.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by CrystalTiger(m): 10:13am On Feb 05, 2025
In the long run, it's what's best for us as a nation, let the anarchy come, if it's what that will awaken Nigerians..

Health sector all over the country is in shambles but we have #150bn for new jet, #21bn for VP residence renovation..

Maybe now, we'll cut our coat according to our cloth..

it is possible that the saudis or chinese will step in to fill the vacuum. or even russia

it is an opportunity for them to extend their influence

i never thought i would live through the decline of the us empire, but it seems we have front row seats

nothing will change. i thought after covid when our leaders were stranded in nigeria and dependent on Nigerian hospitals everyone would step up

but that did not happen

I also served in the north and all I saw was government failure while the people are docile enough to be expecting succor from foreign missions who don't owe them zilch.

During our community CDS we went to carryout cleaning of a magistrate court, u would think they don't seat in that court at all because they hardly clean it except when there will be a seating . Yet, they have allocation for regular cleaning which someone obviously embezzled.

They refuse to employ permanent teachers in government owned schools and will prefer to use NYSC members all year round while someone embezzles the money allocated to the ministry of education . This is one of the reasons I want the NYSC scheme to be scrapped. If state governments cannot fund their respective education ministry to employ enough permanent teachers, then let all them leave their children to become illiterates na.

They have primary and secondary health care providers not in good shape, those health care centers lacking personnel and medicine because somebody has embezzled the funds for the ministry of health.

I saw all of these and more and I still believe the buck stops on the table of the people who have condoned this for this long.

Exactly my point.

We have people putting up defense for all the government's frivolous spendings despite the country running on borrowed funds. Now one of the major financiers of the ostentatious lifestyle of our leaders wants to pull the plug and we suddenly get the self awareness that we are in danger?

We have been in danger for so so long, it just seem some of us arent aware of that or just finding out.

What do you think is going on?

Trump is playing to the gallery.
This is the pro-Israel version of "I will end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours".
It's having the desired effect.

Since he's shut down a US-Israel joint attack on Iran.
This is the bone he'll throw for the next 2 years.
Go fetch!

Not to mention, emptying Gaza of Palestinians is ethnic cleansing.
I guess Hamas would just hand over their weapons and file orderly into Egypt.

Lastly, whichever Arab signs off on that will be killed.
Nasser was killed. Arafat was killed.
El Sisi, Hussein, and MbS can try their luck.

grin grin grin

The problem with the anarchy is that when it comes, but the person clapping for Trump and those who wished it didn't happen would be involved.

A Nigerian who benefits one way or the other from aids is happy that the aid is about to be stopped? I struggle to comprehend that grin

Na when all the displaced people for North run come South, we go begin ask where governors and Tinubu dey

Isn't it better we face the consequences for our inaptitude, stupidity than cry because USA choose to prioritise themselves?

it's still the same, you said soludo or tinubu or politicians is free from the anarchy, wasn't it kebbi or one northern sate governor sister that was killed by a bullet from her security aide when bandits ambushed their convoy..

Ifeanyi uba before his demise was ambushed by UGM along Enugu road 🛣️.

So if the anarchy looms like you predict, it'd pretty much affect all and sundry..

The endsars was a near experience of what anarchy looks and you saw how it affected almost all both rich and poor, people's offices were burnt and looted..

So if you say because USA withdrew their aid ⛑️ because we re fools who couldn't think for ourselves..when the consequences comes, it'd very much affect us all directly or indirectly and if so,then we pretty much deserve it for been stupid I think 💬.
