The truth is there are people that have actually mastered that betting shît and they make serious money from it. It's risky, and most betters get hurt, but that doesn't negate the fact that some people have mastered it and making money from it easily. Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday he has instructed the military to draft a plan to “allow voluntary departure” of Gaza residents from the enclave — days after President Donald Trump’s controversial proposal that the United States “take over” the Strip and remove all the people living there.

“I welcome President Trump’s bold plan, which could enable a large segment of Gaza’s population to relocate to various destinations around the world,” Katz said in a statement. The Israeli plan would allow Gaza residents to depart for “any country willing to receive them,” via land crossings or through “special arrangements for departure by sea and air,” he said.

The White House has since tried to temper parts of Trump’s declaration, which drew condemnation from U.S. foes and allies alike. Palestinians in Gaza have mostly not been able to leave the enclave since the war began in October 2023, with some exceptions such as limited medical evacuations.

Nigerians that for their entire lives have lived in states other than their states of origin are still seen to be overstepping or disrespectful to their hosts when they try contest for elective positions in the States they've lived all their lives.

As a British citizen by naturalization, you have the right to contest for most (maybe all) elective positions in the country, and you don't think 6 years is too little to grant that level of access?

Like I can go do undergrad/PhD in the UK, work two years and I'm automatically qualified to aspire for any position in the country...crazy.

Anybody can contest election in any state, and people do, even last Edo governorship election, there was an Igbo woman running under one mushroom party like that. People just happen to have a much higher chance in Lagos because it's the most heterogenous state in the country, hence why you see it happen a lot more frequently.
