If care is not taken he might not win his 2nd tenure come 2027.
Re: Anioma State: "Why I Joined The APC" - Ned Nwoko by IfnobeGod20(m):
PDP need to initiate his removal asap because there was no reason for him to defect to APC.
Is Ned telling us that if anyone doesn't join APC, they would not enjoy new state creation? People that are saying the mindset of APC and her handlers is to turn Nigeria to one party system. This is the reason this country cannot grow because they have placed party affiliation above national interest and patriotism.

Did you say the same thing about Peter Obi when he left Apga for pdp.. is Pandora also greedy?
Was Peter Obi a serving governor or senator or anything under government when he defected? Why are you people always comparing the incomparable. Peter Obi left APGA after completing his 8 years tenure and he never took the votes of his people to another party.
This Peter Obi is really giving you people goose pimples I swear, everything you must find a way to knit him in. Peter Obi living rent free in some people's head. O ma se o.

The south east is just too small for another state go look at the map only niger state is bigger than the entire south east.
They don't use land mass to create state. Federating unit don't work that way. In a federating nation, there must be regional balance to foster unity and coexistence.

Peter obi was a former governor of Anambra state under the political platform of Apga. A platform that offered him prominence into the Nigeria political landscape. But as myopic as he is, he left that political party in disarray and near political death. But praise be to Willie obiano who resuscitated the party from near political death.
Peter obi is a greedy, clueless man who can not be trusted with power and he even swore by his life before ojukwu that he would not leave the party but stay to nurture Apga from regional party to National political party.

Peter obi can not be trusted....... grin

The SE has most states per capita presently. Going by population, NW and SW should have like three times the number of states SE has because number of states determine number of senators, ministers and federal presence. I believe all demands for states or mergers should be met and the way to do it is to agree to dissolve the senate. However the best thing is for the country to just disintegrate. We will keep working for that.

Glad you said southeast needs new state.
Anioma is in southsouth.

TO HAVE COMMENSURATE POLITICAL REPRESENTATION IN THE NASS FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE SOUTHEAST IS REASON WHY THEY ASK FOR EXTRA STATE FOR THE SOUTHEAST. IT IS NOT FOR BRINGING ALL IGBOS OUTSIDE THE SOUTHEAST TO BELONG TO THE SOUTHEAST.
You don't get the "memo" do you?. The report recommendation says New state for the southeast not a new state in the southeast. Getting more territory in to the southeast will not only increase representation like creating from within it will do but also increasing the overall influence of the region.

As far back as 1999, Ned Nwoko was in the House of Representatives.
How old was Regina then?

You don't increase political representation for the southeast people by bringing in Anioma people for an Anioma state for the southeast. You actually decrease political representation of the people of the southeast by bringing people in Anioma as a sixth state for the southeast. Do the Maths please.
As for political influence, there shall be no added influence for the southeast by making Anioma as sixth state for the southeast. Rather, a sixth state carved from the present southeast shall increase the political/electoral influence of the southeast. Do the Maths as well. Ned Nwoko has been exploiting the ignorance of some uninitiated Igbos in the southeast.

But FG will not create just one state, so many people are clamoring for their own state including my people in Benue.

The current political arrangement in Benue doesn't favor everyone in the state

We need Agba state
Honestly, many new states are needed. I think Nigeria needs at least 8 states per zone.

Currently It doesn't favor many state people.
Imo state: Udenwa, Rochas and Uzodinma from the same Orlu zone
Rivers State: Peter Odili, Celestine Omehia, Rotimi Amaechi, Nyesom Wike all from within Igbo tribes despite having many languages and tribes in the state.
Only few states like Delta has managed to be rotating power. It's even worse in terms of sharing locations for government institutions and development facilities

you should not go the route of technicality and calculation since either you are being mischievous or comprehension seems not to be your fort.

Politics is guided by interest, and a group bound by common values always share common interest. The bigger such group is, the stronger and more power it'll have to bargain for its interest. If such group is fragmented and carved each into larger distinct groups, their interest will be subsumed to that of the respective dominant groups. For instance, if you have a majority and minority group in a state or region, the minority group in the state will only increase the bargaining power of the dominant group without catering for its own specific interests, talk more of the interest of its kinds scattered across different political boundaries also as minorities. It is this type of gerrymandering that the British used to increase the influence of the Hausa/Fulani while diminishing the influence of Igbo and Yoruba. This is why you have something called "divide and conquer"

Creating six states within southeast will increase political representation but will not boost the economic and political bargaining influence of the region by increasing its resources and population omlike Anioma will do.

Do not let your petty clannish gains override the collective Igbo interest.

Only a stupeeed or dishonest Igbo selling snake oil would not accept the fact that making Anioma become the sixth state for the southeast is a subtraction from the existing political representation index of people of the southeast at the federal government level, as well as diminishing the gains of democracy for the Igbos of southeast origin.
Stop writing your nonsense epistle. They interest only the Ned Nwokos who want to exploit the uninitiated Igbos of the southeast.

And same Tinubu you're supporting left AD to ruin because they didn't allowed him to take control of the party.
Let me even burst your bubbles. He left them in disarray but still helped the same Obiano you're praising to win governorship election through the same party. What does that mean to you? You're a great liar, lying with both sides of the mouth.
The good news about the whole thing is this, Peter Obi never take the glory of APGA to any party. He served finished and left APGA to PDP while Tinubu still serving under AD, depleted them and joined to float another party, rendered the party inactive till date. But thankfully APGA is still flourishing till date but where is Tinubu's AD and even SDP today?

Same way Tinubu betrayed Afenifere that brought him to limelight to contest governorship election in Lagos but later backstabbed them and the same Afenifere once said they would never forgive him.

2023 Fayose begs Afenifere to forgive Tinubu

Tinubu is the master backstabber if you truly know his history, how he destabilized AD .

I had to repeat the disadvantages of making an Anioma state become the 6th state for the southeast so that they will sink into the brains of people like you of 'give us Biafla or death." You lot foolishly believe that making Anioma become the sixth state for the southeast shall increase your war chest for restoration of Biafra. Senator Ned Woko has been exploiting the ignorance of your lot in his campaign for Anioma state.

there is no single disadvantage you mentioned except you didn't pass through school to know what disadvantage implies. It's just curses, abuses and over exploitation of the Biafran blackmail. Borrow sense and get a life.

If a law was made that if you defect from the party on which you won elections, you would have to resign the political position you won, how many people would defect?
they will defect. They just won't say it out loud
There is nothing wrong in defecting, but you should not carry the position you won on one platform, to another platform.

The reasons Nigerian politicians give for defecting has become so laughable these days, everyone knows its out of selfish interests

He's saying that he knows how elections were rigged for the PDP in the past and that he will do the same for APC going forward.

Nigerians are by nature crooks and unethical. No morals and ethics, it's always about them instead of their greater society.
what have you done for the greatest Society
This is the main reason why Nigeria and Africa as a whole are in a mess when compared to the rest of the world.
