Shortchanged southeast will get less once anything is shared according to states in Nigeria.
.
Make una do the needful sooner then later; give a sixth state in the southeast, most naturally favoured location between Imo West and Anambra south senatorial district
Stop mentioning Anambra in this your nonsense

The sixth state that will come out from southeast is Anioma state

Get that into your skull

It is very irresponsible for a minister to quote a foreign currency in a financial report of pledge...

The money that the governors will just pocket and everyone will move on. This is the way Tinubu want rule. I made a mistake for voting this calamity. I wonder what masses have gained since the beginning of this government. Even Buhari that we termed failure was not this bad. He kept on making lives miserable for the masses.
Your cup of tea, if you're blind, nobody can help you.

Later when we start converting minimum wage or salary to US dollars, one lunatic sufferhead foòl will be asking if we spend dollars in Nigeria.
You're worse than one lunatic suffer head fool you are referring to, because if you read the article, it is in partnership with the world bank and in what currency would the money be released?.

Wayo. You want people from Anambra to be continued to be underrepresented through making Anioma the sixth state of the southsouth. It's like you create more problems trying to solve existing problem.

Smart by half.
The southeast and southsouth zones are the honey pot of Nigeria. Undermining the two zones through political structure shortchange is like cultivating doomsday for Nigeria. When it comes, you'll regret everything.

How much is the FG budgeting for Fulani herdsmen that will destroy the crops? If the FG could be killing IPOB members while doing nothing about herdsmen I think we need to examine the brains of the people in the presidency

The average income per person in Nigeria has yet again reduced to $835.49 in 2025, further shrinking the living standards of the people, according to new data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

This drop represents a modest 4.73 percent fall from $877 it stood in 2024, highlighting the continued erosion of household incomes amid the raging cost-of-living crisis.

Using the average exchange rate of N1,500 to a US dollar, an average Nigerian earns N1.25 million in a year, a situation that has just improved due to the recent rally of the naira.

The state governors don't need any additional security funds. What do they have to show for the monthly security votes they have been receiving?!

This is a commendable move by the Mr president. Everyone must ensure that state governors are held accountable so that this initiative accomplish its purpose.
Please tell us how you were able to hold your governor to account. Mention the state. Let me replicate that here in Rivers.

As citizens, we have failed in our responsibility to hold our Governors to account, how many pressure groups do we have in each state with the primary duty to watch dog Governors to a particular standard?. We too often shift attention on the center allowing the state embezzlers get away too many times. We want food security, perhaps, we are a few steps closer. Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project scale-up initiative (RAAMP) could drive it home.

This is reminiscent of what a former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun came up with at the time when almost all the states were indebted and had to be given some tranches of bailouts. She got them committed, had them open an account and held them accountable. Unlike the ritual of monthly allocations whereby the Governors get away without accountability. This commitment would enable the FG extract transparency from the state Governors, trust me, we are talking $30 million, Governors will jump on it but this time, there is a watch dog sniffing at their heels.
Where there are so many internal roads that are bad, neglected and lying in poor conditions, where these roads leading to farms are inaccessible, Governors has to be committed in repairing the roads leading to farms in the hinterland before unlocking the $30million. That would ensure that our farms are open up to good roads and promote full value chain.
But you blamed GEJ at the centre then got blind during Buhari and Tinubu.....

As citizens of Nigeria, we’ve failed woefully since the day we started criticizing only the federal government alone leaving state governments outside the blames.

In case we don’t know, governors are the real game players, they’re the emperors, they’re the ones that gets the biggest chunks of the National cake.

Federal government are just at the center of the show while we leave the governors out of it, meanwhile, they’re the real fox that eats up our collective chickens.

Lemme say this, governors are the biggest players in the Bureau De change market, they change the monthly allocations given to them by the federal government into foreign currencies and round trip it back home.

Since the coming of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, allocations of all states have doubled if not tripled, how many of the governors are showing workings.

I think it’s the high time we started holding our governors responsible.

Security challenges in Nigeria are complex, involving various groups and requiring a balanced response from the government. While concerns about handling IPOB and herdsmen issues are valid, generalizations and divisive rhetoric only worsen tensions. Constructive dialogue and equitable security reforms are essential for peace and progress.
