Let me give you a scenario. Biden Administration doles out $8M in subscriptions to Politico [feel free to include BBC, MSNBC, CNN etc to the list]. Politico writes articles saying the Hunter Biden laptop is all fake and Russian disinformation. White House staff, CNN and so on, cite Politico as proof that Hunter Biden Laptop saga is all right-wing conspiracy stuff. Twitter, $META and co use that as pretext to censor the news and ban accounts promoting it. Turns out, it was real. The laptop and its constituents are real. The implications are far-reaching. In fact, Biden goes on to pardon his son going back 11 years. Elon proves that Politico and co were lying on behalf of the govt because they were getting kickbacks and patronage. USAID is the slush fund source for Politico's dirty political games. US Fed govt puts a hold on disbursements from USAID to allow for more audits and investigations. Nigerians in Nigeria, who always complained about the aids PMB was doling out to Niger are now angry at Trump, claiming USAID (that should have no business sponsoring Politico and BBC) is the reason their own federal govt is incompetent. They pat each other in the back. America is being demised. The demise did not come from the govt that paid the news to lie, nor did it come from all the information in Hunter's laptop that the FBI tried to hide and protect him from. It came because orange man turned off illegal payments from a rogue organization that had no business in doing some of the things they did. |

raumdeuter:Baggio is a Buddhist so of course he will want to follow the dictates of Amitabha and emulate the Bodhisattvas. If only Balon d'Or winners can analyze or criticize footballers, we won't have enough analysts in for all the football programs in the world, and of course football forums like the ones here in Nairaland have to be cancelled as well. I suspect we don't have a Balon d'Or winner here. |

No update on Banks game today. Most people don't understand the psychological aspect to betting. You win 300,000 with 5k day before yesterday, you are not going to play yesterday's game with 5k. You are going to play all 10 games with 10k and then play all 10 flex 1 with another 10k. That's 200k lost the day after. Even if you fight the psychological battle and played with 5k, you still lose 50k. It will take the bet company six days to collect the money you won. This is the story of many bettors. Don't be deceived by the fancy screenshots. |

Akinlot:When you tell people these things they will say they are financially disciplined unlike you; that they will not increase their staking power because they won. We all know that’s a lie, but then online people are allowed to lie to themselves and others . What they don’t know is that if people were making money off sports betting as much as they want us to believe , most bookies will be out of business . |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Akinlot: 7:31am On Feb 07, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:We won't stop saying these things for the young and impressionable among us. Stake.com where banks drops most of his games has something like a summary that displays your total wins and losses. There's a reason banks will post every screenshot but not that one. Banks once said he was planning to set up a bet company. This means he must like losing money because if he was winning so much, why be on the other side? |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Android17: 8:05am On Feb 07, 2025 |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:USAID budget is $40-50B/yr that accounts for emoluments of their (what was 14,000 staff around the world). How much of that money left over will be enough to influence real change in Africa? Zilch. Even $40B a year to Nigeria alone won't move the needle. Let people be pretending they know whats up. |

afrodoc2:Stop trying to be sleek. The keyword there is COLLEAGUE. An ex footballer who was purely trash has no right to HARSHLY criticize another player who was 10 times the player he was. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OkpaNsukkaisBae(m): 8:27am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Android17:Very very small to amount to any real change. Besides, a huge part of that money na to launder US images and indirectly influence the foreign policy decisions of foreign governments. |

BlueRayDick:While I agree that what you said applies to many, I should also point out that some people are naturally frugal. My friend who we played in the same team has a brother in Dubai who sent him a game which included some basket ball games too. He staked 30 naira on it and won 31k or there about. His brother called him and told him to since the game entered, he should send their mom 500k. That was when he opened up that he only staked 30 naira and his brother nearly went mad. After a lot of begging, he agreed to continue sending if he sees. He told me this story when he shared the booking code his brother sent to him. I asked him how many has failed since then and he said up to 12 slips within the space of 3 months. I staked 1,500 on it and it cut . I staked 1500 the next time and it cut again. The next one he sent, I staked 800 and luckily, I won 920k. I staked 800 over the course of 6 months and I finally gave up. I didn't allow greed to blind me and na why I chop them run. Some could have increased their staking amount but I didn't. So the problem here is greed. |

swiz123:Addiction is the problem, People now see gambling as a full time job, I saw someone's sportybet open bet on a Saturday morning, guess how many? 72 open bets And this guy is a heavy staker too! |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Android17: 8:51am On Feb 07, 2025 |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Of course. That's my over-arching point. That it is all superficial. Most of the monies to Africa were actually to journalists (when not to sponsor terrorists and regime change). Just to keep laundering the image of the USA. Nothing new. That's why I am never surprised when I see Nigerians in Nigeria constantly spew propaganda and call others 🙄 Russophile, Putard and what not. Don't forget the ones in UK as well. All children of USAID aided propaganda. LOL |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by swiz123(m): 8:55am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Ihebu4chelsea:72 open bet and he stakes heavy? He either has a very good source of income or he is a thief. Anyone who stakes large sums loses large sums too. What you win, most like goes back to the bookies within some time. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 9:06am On Feb 07, 2025 |
swiz123:Only tiny fraction of people can “chop them and run” . For you to “chop them and run” , you must have a steady source of income that would not make you look back and crave for that your winnings over and over again . If u are someone whose steady monthly income exceeds N500k , it will be quite easy for you to chop one time N1m, N2m and rest . But if the u Dey hardly see 100k and u chop one time N2m , u will always think there’s more from where that N2m came from and before I know it ; u will increase ur staking power while chasing the bag. Soon addiction will set in and u may end up losing more than u’ve won without knowing sef . |

Android17:I listened to Tulsi screening by US lawmakers. She attacked the Obama/Biden administration for training & supplying military equipment to terror groups disguised as rebel groups in Syria. The same group who wrecked havoc in 9/11. I don't blame them, @ those who tag others as Putards. Years ago, I was in their shoe. I consumed lots of propaganda channel from the LameStream media. So I believed Russia is bad, China is bad. FPVdrone: shoodboi2:This guy captured it better. Trump is not really against USAID but he hate the fact that the Democrat has weaponized it, using it to fight the Republicans. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by swiz123(m): 9:13am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Kimbeast:How does that relate? Why are you guys missing the keyword COLLEAGUE?? !! I can criticise accept criticism from someone from a different profession who doesn't understand how difficult my job is but believes I should be better because I am a professional. What I can't accept is if a colleague whom I am much more better than criticises me HARSHLY in public with a large audience. For example 1 : Jackson has got to realize that a club like Chelsea is very demanding and he's got to improve his standard if not, he risks getting sold. He should work harder, take his chances and he will be celebrated in no time. Example 2 : Chelsea surprised me by going for a striker like Jackson who wasn't even the main striker at Villarreal. He was never that good, he never scored enough goals, he was never that guy. I expect Chelsea to right their wrong and go for another striker who fits their profile and sell off Jackson. You guys can continue pretending like you don't understand what Baggio means and what we have been saying all along. |

Wailers don start this morning. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 9:15am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Akinlot:One thing people don’t know is that Bookies are similar to Insurance companies in the sense that an insurance company will take few thousands of Naira as premium to insure ur assets worth millions of Naira. If a loss to that asset occurs , they will pay u that millions worth of ur properties . Bookies will take small money from u promising to pay u multiples of it if the events u get on happens as u predicted . Now Insurers are protected from failure in a way because they get to transfer some of those risk they insure to reinsurers and government also mandates them to keep some reserves for contingencies . Bookies on the other hand have no such shock absorbers and if too many people win too many bets they can close shop in an instant without even government bailing them out. Where I’m going is the fact that new bookies keep springing up everyday is an evidence that it is a very lucrative business . Punters are not winning generally and that is why they can keep paying the few people who win paltry sums from the billions of deposits they get from their customers . Like u rightly posited , banks must have seen that if he that prides himself as a very skillful punter could be losing as much as he does ; then certainly others will have worse . So he’s most likely just trying to get his own slice of the cake by going to the other side of the street . |
