Hello!

I'm sorry, I may not be the best to answer this because I've never done one myself; however, I'll try. The University of Sydney English language requirement states that overall 6.5 score is required, with no band less than 6.0. This means that it may be different from school to school.

Also, since you already have an admission (MSc by Research for that matter), I believe DHA may be able to accept whatever score your university accepts to make decision on your visa (The website states that you do not need to provide evidence of English test score if you are enrolled in a registered post-graduate research course). You can try to read more about the requirements from the DHA website (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500#Eligibility) to learn more about what applies to you.

Regards.
Thank you

Hello guys and happy holidays. Been following this thread for years and Finally settled my mind on university of southern Queensland. When paying for school fees am I required to pay the fees as a lump sum annually or per semester? I will appreciate any answers or advice. Thank you.

This thread is uncharacteristically quiet.

People who have applied for visas, what's your status.

A lot of us are waiting and it's becoming unbearable.

Hello everyone, I'm about applying to schools for MSc and I wanted to ask which is better: State that I'm self sponsored or that I have a sponsor?
Thank you.

Is your sponsor a government agency? if not...Self Employed, but be ready with all your legit documents. Send a DM

Generally, most Australian Universities require you to pay your first year tuition. It is even advisable. Although some Universities allow Semeter payments. For Visa processing you'd have to show enough funds

What course did you graduate from? And what was your CGPA?

These should aid in picking a course that's on the skilled application list.

Check online for the list. If you need help with your application, send a message

Hi everyone, I’ll appreciate a bit of guidance on my situation here please.

I’m 23 and I’ve just graduated from a university here in Nigeria and I’ve applied to study Masters in Public health in Australia.

With the recent negative experience for Nigerian study visas, do you think I should apply for a bachelors degree instead so I can have a strong case for my visa application or should I stick to masters?

Hi Kdamilola,

My IELTS result goes thus: listening= 5.5, reading =6, writing=6 speaking=7.5, overall 6.5. Is this score sufficient for visa processing for master of research considering the low score in listening. I have been given admission already.
Thank you

Actually @89omowu, it differs just like @kdamilola has said.

But you have the required overall score and should give it a try.

Hello @Ikechukwu09,

The visa processing can sometimes take time; sometimes up to 4 months or more. I hope you have requested for deferment from your University? Also, upload the new CoE to your immiaccount once it's issued.

Don't worry, it'll come through soon.
Cheers!

[qu
Hi, thought of you, I hope you have been able to get yours or updated your COE, it’s just funny how people who applied for New Zealand have seen theirs in as little as two weeks processing time. And Australia takes so long.

Good evening house, I received my sponsorship job offer letter today and I'm still curious, is travelling now getting surer? What should be the next point of action as I have accepted and replied the job offer.

Is this a positive signal?

Pardon my questions i don't know much about travelling.

I'll appreciate your answers, thanks

I am still waiting for mine. The delay is frustrating. I applied and got a new CoE to resume March 31. Hoping the visa will be out before then.

I am still waiting. Abeg, anybody who has applied or is waiting should update us.

So we know we are not alone in this waiting game. Seems there has not been a Nigerian grant since December.

What did we do to them o. Monitoring four applications for family and friends. Since Nov 7th to 11th too. Resumption was yesterday for one of them. Did you use an agent? They can contact them on your behalf.
My sister had to switch to New Zealand and has gotten her visa for Auckland University of Technology.
It is well
