Although it varies by department and I do not know your department. I would expect them to have contacted you by now or will be reaching out soon, considering it's already February. For instance, some departments sent out Fall 2024 admission decisions around March last year.

Thanks for the response. I applied to the department of information (Phd) summer intake. I believed they would have sent acceptance messages to those that are successful.

Your cousin was denied a U.S. visa under Section 214(b), which means the officer was not convinced of his strong ties to his home country or his eligibility for the visa category. The issue with the previous denial declaration on the DS-160 form might have also contributed to the refusal. If your cousin actually selected "yes" to indicate a past denial, but the officer claimed he selected "no," there might have been an error in submission or miscommunication. He should retrieve his previous DS-160 confirmation page to verify what was submitted. Probably he couldn't demonstrate strong home ties and weak documentation. Let him work on those.

He’s been denied before but for some reasons he said he filled ‘yes’ he has been denied before but the interviewer said he filled ‘no’ and he was denied again. But he was given 214b

Guy the only way forward is to

pay another Sevis fee or check if it’s valid.

Then you pay another visa fee.

I just paid another sevis fee
i defer my admission waiting for another form 120 then i can book for interview.
That’s the Only Forward.

Go to the website: CEAC DS-160 Retrieval Portal. Select the Embassy or Consulate at which you applied, then select retrieve and application. Enter your application ID number. From there, you will be able to view and print your confirmation page.

Some it might just be a chat, opportunity to get to meet you and put a face and personality to the application with them. For some, might be a chance to seek clarification on some of the stuffs you have in your statement and/or application documents! Either way, prepare! Good luck

I made payment for their premium service on Wednesday but it showed an error occurred while processing your payment.
I retried it this evening and it's saying the same thing again.

Anyone know how I can request for refund and how to make payment without the same issue.

I paid my MRV fee at GTB on the old website. I was approved to schedule my f-1 visa but unfortunately I didn't get a date before the change to a new website. Now I am trying to register my payment receipt on Avits but it keeps showing receipt not found. Please does anyone have same issue and how did he/she solve.

I have the same issue, i paid for an M1 visa in july 2024 at gt bank. Its valid for a year
While trying to schedule my appointment yesterday(friday) it kept on saying receipt not found.
I asked someone he said i should raise a ticket, while trying to raise a ticket i clicked on submit it was not even responding, but when i press cancel, it will respond. I called costumer care, they said i should chat with bot, which i did and it wasn’t helpful.

2. Or is it the same old date search just on a new platform?
3. What location is having more dates now. When I tried this 2 years ago, it was Lagos.
4. If the date search is still the same as before, does anyone have links to a date search whatsapp group that they can share with me?

I need you're advice. Due to how long the preapproaval stayed I missed my program start date for spring semester. Although I have deferred to fall semester, do I just go for the interview with both my old and new I-20. Or do I have to pay another MRV Fee and start the entire process again.
