We need to revolutionize Oyo and Ogun and make prosperity spread to other SW states. SW Nigeria is blessed. Only a matter of time. |

One state and two international airports, that's incredible. Lagos is underrated. More fascinating is the fact that this one is being facilitated by Lagos State Government. |

In the next 5-10 years, the ususl haters will still come and tell us that Lord Luggard and Federal Government paid for the Lekki Airport since 1914 when the amalgamation of North and South was signed. They will bring some senseless HDI index to deceive the gullible “I am Yoruba But” crew that Alex Otti was a better governor than Sanwo Olu. |

Sanwo-Olu please also sign MoU with another company to help fix all the dilapidated roads connecting Lagos intracity areas. From Festac to Mushin to Ikeja GRA to Ikotun to Ejigbo to Oshodi to Mafoluku to Isolo to Surulere to Satellite town to Egbeda to Ogba to just name it. You cannot be focusing on white elephant projects that will help you loot billions while neglecting the critical road projects that will make life meaningful for Lagos residents ![]() |

franchasofficia:I don't understand. Your states are below value chain. Any order you chose to arrange it. Be it IGR or GDP. There'll still be 3 SE states below the least SW state so what's your argument? Ogun State is the most industrialized state in Nigeria and Oyo tower 5 SE states combined. Yet we strive for these states to be more. We don't stop around here, we don't look back and that's why you won't catchup. |

franchasofficia:This request should be directed to the Local governments now that they are also receiving allocations. Also extend this to your state government. You can't abandon your state and it's governors to come and be demanding from Sanwoolu, what your governors didn't give you and you abandoned your state to come and stay in Lagos State |

This MoU signing was possible because Lagos was former capital. It's even possible the investors still think Lagos is Nigeria's capital, that's what made this kind of deal fly through. Make a SE state capital just for one day and see SE leave the whole world behind Sorry dear readers, Obidient spirit just took over me momentarily 😆 |

franchasofficia:People like you disseminating lies all over the net should be trialed if found wanting. I live in around Egbeda and ply Agege Ikeja on almost daily basis, yet I can tell factually that virtually all these rounds have been or are being put to good shape. At least, 70-85%! Even the ones with pipeline beneath get interlocking pavement instead of coal tar. Yet, rather than commending the government of the state, you embrace lie peddling and foolery, so that unintelligible dolts like you can keep 'liking' your comment. Not a way to live the new year. You just throw falsies on the net to paint the state bad needlessly. Your agenda of demarketing Lagos is impossible to understand. For a state miles ahead of yours. |

Why , why, why?? I know many people would look at this from a revenue standpoint. But , they don't think about the stress on the infrastructure.. Lagos should he decongested.. I don't know why they don't liase with Ogun state to build something like this.. So it would reduce the traffic in lagos and somewhat balance the cost of living for the residents of both states. Reduce the stress in the infrastructures in Lagos state and create more employment for both Lagos and Ogun residents.. |

franchasofficia:Incase you miss 👇 •Commissioners Reiterate Sanwo-Olu’s Commitment to Completion of Ongoing Projects Lagos State Government said it has earmarked N1.052 trillion in its 2025 budget for infrastructural sustainability, in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration's plan to complete ongoing projects in different parts of the State. This was disclosed by Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr Ope George, while announcing the breakdown of the year 2025 budget in the different sectors during the ministry’s Budget Analysis press conference held at Alausa, Ikeja on Friday. George addressed the press in the company of his colleagues, Mr Gbenga Omotoso (Information and Strategy), Mr Abayomi Oluyomi (Finance), Prof. Akin Abayomi (Health), Mr Tokunbo Wahab (Environment and Water Resources), Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi (Transport), Mr Tunbosun Alake (Innovation, Science and Technology), Mr Biodun Ogunleye (Energy and Mineral Resources), Mr. Jamiu Alli-Balogun (Basic Education) and Mr. Tolani Akibu (Tertiary Education), as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Dr. Adeyinka Olayinka, and his counterparts, Engr. Olufemi Daramola (Infrastructure) and Dr. Rotimi Fashola (Agriculture). The Budget Commissioner said the Lagos State budget size of ₦3.367trillion will be funded from a total revenue estimate of ₦2.968 trillion, comprising N2.230 trillion from Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Capital Receipts of N111.839 billion and federal transfer of N626.137 billion. He said the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) is expected to contribute 63 per cent (N1.4 trillion) of the projected IGR, while other ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) of government will generate about 37 per cent (N830.177billion). He said 80 per cent of revenue will be generated internally to finance the 2025 budget implementation, noting that the State Government will achieve budget sustainability by deepening revenue and increasing the tax net through the deployment of technology, economic intelligence, data gathering, and analysis, among other initiatives. George who said the State had carefully chosen a self-financing option that would not translate into debt to finance the full implementation of the budget, appealed to Lagos residents to keep supporting the Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration by upholding the law and paying their taxes on time to achieve the Greater Lagos Vision. He said the budget tagged "Budget of Sustainability" is not just a fiscal document but structured around providing economic stability, environmental stewardship and social equity to ensure Lagos continues to thrive sustainably for generations to come. “The State’s focus is to ensure the durability, functionality, and adaptability of our physical assets to meet the ever-growing demands of our people, hence the investment of the sum of N1.052trillion representing 31.27 percent of the entire budget on infrastructure. Our focus remains prioritising the maintenance, upgrade and expansion of existing road networks and furniture, construction of bus terminals, jetties bridges, rail systems, housing units and digital infrastructure in line with our vision for a truly 21st-century megacity,” he said. George listed some of the infrastructural projects that cut across the five divisions of Lagos State and will be addressed in the 2025 budget as the construction of Samuel Ekundayo/Toga Road in Badagry, Abaranje Road in Alimosho, and Adamo-Akanun-Agunfoye Lugbusi Roads in Ikorodu; the construction and rehabilitation of roads in Ikeja GRA (Oba Dosunmu Road, Sasegbon Street, Sobo Arobiodu Street, etc.); and the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Lekki-Epe Expressway: Phase IIA (18.600km). He said the State Government will also work on the completion of the Abule Egba and Ajah Bus terminals (Bus Reform Initiative, BRI), the construction of the Iyana-Ipaja Bus terminals, construction of the Opebi Link Bridge to Maryland that will significantly improve travel time and alternative route options in the axis, rehabilitation and upgrading of the Eti-Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway Project from Eleko T-Junction to Abraham Adesanya ( Phase II), construction of Lekki-Epe Airport Road and Omu Creek Road, as well as the urban renewal and technical studies on 4th Mainland Bridge. Other projects listed include the construction of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, dualization of Ojo Road and Baale Adeyemi in Ojo, construction of the Lekki/Epe(Orisa) Bridge and approach road, construction of the second phase of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit System (LRMT) from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko, development of the 68km Green Line rail from Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, completion of 13 new jetties across Lagos State in addition to the upgrade works ongoing at existing jetties and the completion of the Stadia in Ikorodu, Badagry, Epe, Ifako-Ijaye, Ketu, Ibeju-Lekki, Sari Iganmu and Ajeromi to facilitate youth development and community sports. https://www.facebook.com/100064441879510/posts/pfbid02ww4JKyFdvJrwxdiEUzKXxihk2DWR2eNtBWUYL5ybjfXSmmvVFsY2pPSMC3TBn19Gl/?app=fbl |

alanto:Industrial revolution is silently taking place in Ogun State and it will spread to Oyo State. Lekki / Epe is the end of Lagos. Industrial revolution is moving to Ogun and will spread to Oyo. The South West had a very long setback since Awolowo / Akintola crisis up till June 12 crisis which lasted till 1999. There is also religious and Political dichotomy which created serious problems and prevented a concerted effort to agree on a unique solution. Development stopped in South West since Awolowo was incarcerated. Between 1979 and 1983 there was little they could do as they were in opposition as it was in First Republic. Apart from 3rd Mainland Bridge there was no any developmental agenda for Lagos since Murtala Muhammed came to Power and initiated relocation of capital from Lagos. |
