bidexiii:Troops Neutralize 44 Terrorists, Inflict Heavy Casualties in Phase 2 of Operation TSAFTADAJI intensified in Zamfara By: Zagazola Makama In a major offensive under Operation FANSAN YANMA under the TSAFTADAJI III – Phase 2, Nigerian army troops have neutralized 44 terrorists and injured over 25 others in a coordinated assault across multiple fronts in Zamfara State. The operation, which commenced on February 7, 2025, involved a three pronged attack targeting terrorist strongholds in Mashema general area, a notorious hub for armed bandits and insurgents. The offensive was led by troops of 1Brigade Special Forces with close support from the Air Component of OPFY. The offensive began at 0800 hours, with Team 1 advancing through several terrorist enclaves, clearing out fortified positions at Kashabawa, Bwarare, and Zaki before reaching Sakarawa Hill. Upon arrival, troops encountered stiff resistance from terrorists who had established defensive positions on the hill. Intelligence intercepts revealed that the insurgents had planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along the advance route. In response, troops executed a flanking maneuver to avoid the traps while engaging the enemy. A decisive ground d and air assault was launched, from the Air Component of OPFY striking terrorist positions. Heavy casualties were inflicted on the insurgents. Despite successfully eliminating several terrorists, troops were unable to fully exploit the high ground due to heavy mining at the foot of the hill. The Aggressor aircraft returned for a second aerial bombardment, targeting insurgents and neutralizing several of them. An another operation, troops advancing towards Badarawa, encountered resistance but successfully cleared several terrorist pockets along their route. Among the 44 terrorists eliminated in the battle were key commanders linked to notorious bandit leaders Bello Turji and Sani Black. The slain terrorist leaders include: Sanni Bammuwa, Kachallah Auta (formerly the deputy to Sani Black) Audu Gajere, Kabiru Jangeru and Dan-Kane (son of Audu Jabbi) Despite the intense fighting and IED threats, no casualties were recorded among the Nigerian troops. |

bidexiii:Is everybody in the army a special force or is it only special forces that are deployed at the frontline. Everywhere online, we see Nigerian army personnel’s dubbed as SOFs or putting on an outfit that has SF imprinted on it. Even the vehicles that are used in theatre operations, the text SF battalion are imprinted on them especially the Toyota land cruisers

Toju200:This captured bandit had declared that he ran out of ammunition while engaging with troops in a gunfight during a midnight raid on Bandits From the look of things bandits in the North West especially in Zamfara and Sokoto are really feeling the heat. They have no other options but to surrender, repent or get Suyanised. From my radar, troops are closing up with all their escape routes. Turji has entered permanent hiding. No more videos, no more bragging that he is in Shinkafi as the town had been fully destroyed. Source: @zagazola |

Troops Clears 9 villages in Sokoto in search of Lukurawa, Arrest Key Suspect The troops of Nigerian Army’s Operation FANSAN YANMA have continued their offensive against bandit groups and LUKURAWA operating in the North-West, clearing multiple camps in Sokoto and arresting a key suspect linked to a notorious terrorist leader. Zagazola Makama who continued to give deep insight into the operation was informed that the coordinated operations by the combined troops of the 248 Battalion and CIB VII began with an assault launched from Maikumari village towards Rijiyan Zobe in Binji Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto State. The operation followed credible intelligence indicating that the Lakurawa bandit group had established a new camp in the area. Upon reaching Rijiyan Zobe, the troops found Fulani settlers going about their normal activities, suggesting that the area was not entirely under the control of the bandits. However, further intelligence pointed to the presence of the criminals in Duchin Kaie, a high-ground location where they had set up camp. The troops swiftly advanced towards the area and made contact with elements of the Lakurawa group, who attempted to resist the assault. However, faced with superior firepower, the bandits were forced to flee in disarray, leaving behind traces of blood, indicating that some had sustained gunshot wounds. After securing the area, troops conducted a thorough search and destroyed the bandit camp. Items recovered from the scene included: jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), several pieces of Nigerien military uniforms, foodstuffs and various clothing materials. All recovered items were subsequently destroyed to prevent them from being used for further criminal activities. However, following the successful operation at Duchin Kaie, troops extended their clearance mission towards the fleeing routes of the terrorists and other suspected bandit hideouts. The forces moved through Karfe Binji Forest, continuing their advance towards Anada village, Soro Yanma, and Guhipto, ensuring the areas were cleared of criminal elements. No further contact was made as the bandit continued to fled leaving only traces of their footprints. In a video obtained by Zagazola, the troops were heard calling out the terrorists to come and fight describing them as cowards. Yet no indication of their presence. Meanwhile, in a separate operation, troops successfully raided the Gudun Gudun general area, a known stronghold of criminal elements. During the operation, they arrested Dahiru Umar, a confirmed violent extremist and younger brother of Ahmadu Maiyaki, a notorious bandit kingpin who had long terrorized the Gudun Gudun and Basanta communities.
