I realise a lot of people still fall for these fake phone scam that is prevalent allover Lagos.

I recently accompanied a friend to Ikeja to purchase a mobile device, both the friend and the seller have spoken about the transaction, what was left was inspection and payment.

Due to my knowledge about devices,he persuaded me to follow him.we got there got in touch with the seller,we got to his shop,he brought out two phones and gave my guy to pick his choice,my not so techy
friend, went to the settings and check the specs out,he checked the camera,he put his sim in and called my phone,it rang,he browse with the phone it was fast, the battery was quite huge,he was happy and asked me for my opinion, seems he was ready to transfer 180k at that spot.

I took the phone from him and dialled in *#06# , the imei number popped up,then I quickly snapped the imei with my phone,I went to my browser and visited
IMEI.INFO ,imputed the imei no, Omo Na so fowl yansh open o ,Na clone ,fake them wan sell o.

Na so I tell my friend say he should go do thanksgiving in church, imagine buying a fake phone for over 180k,this country Na wa ooooo.

The phone was actually an Oppo 5g device can't recollect the actual model, the imei no of the phone totally failed verification on IMEI.info site.

Only God knows where they are bringing these fake devices from that they are selling for price of genuine device.
