When my Igbo brothers assume that nothern muslims are trying to radicalize Yoruba muslims I just laugh. What you Igbos don't know is that Yoruba muslims are the worst set of muslims. The only difference between a northern radical muslim and a yoruba muslim is that northern extremist are people of low IQ and so cover up it up with insane violence, while yoruba muslims just "look" less radicalized because they have the opportunity to relate with Christians a lot more than the former. The relationship of yoruba muslims with their Christian neighbours or family member have shaped their actions and reactions. Such privilege, the northern muslims never had. Is Mr. imam aware that those against Shariah courts in the South West are his fellow Yorubas including many Yoruba Muslims. If you think you can bully your way to getting Sahriah laws in the South West, you’re joking. The religion status in South West as opposed to the North is balanced. Shariah cannot work effectively where majority are not Muslims. That’s the ruling binding Shariah. Sharia has always been part of the Islamic Religion in Yoruba Land. Even the Yoruba Language borrowed it's transliteration as in" E da Sheria fun un" meaning " Deal with offender in Sharia way. Then he doesn't know how politics in South west works. He thought he is talking to Ilorin fanatics. Politics in SW is very dynamic when it comes to religion. If they start what they used to do in unilorin in those days in SW, they will regret woefully.
