The problem that South South have is that they are following South West Propaganda in undermining Seaport in the Eastern Nigeria. They will tell them that they are building the port for Igbos, forgetting that they are the host and host will attract economic prosperity first before others. Southwest want only Lagos seaport to be only operating port in Nigeria.

Some people are still waiting for FG on ordinary river port while serious Governors are taking the bull by the horn. Calabar is about to join the big boys league.

-Kiss the truth!
"big boys league" in what way?

who are the "big boys"?

is there no existing port in calabar?

why is it not functioning?

I wonder what Governors are doing with the resources of the state if they can't develop their states. A good start by Governor Otu.
what makes it a good start?

Mr Governor, that small white patch on your head seems to me like a sign of wisdom. Keep the good work going. But i must warn you, pls avoid too much grammar like your predecessor. A.y.a.de who spoke only English for 8 years without anything to show for it. Talk less but do more in silence.

If Calabar seaport is not working at full capacity, is it not senseless to borrow money for a new seaport?

Why are we so dumb huh
If a private investor wants to invest in a new seaport, what's senseless about it?, haven't they done their feasibility study?. Are you this dumb?

Person wey dey ment. They never see any good thing in what others are doing. Investors that want to invest in such huge project no go do feasibility studies naaaa. They will just bring their money to come and waste or they don't know that there is an existing port in Calabar before.

Shut up your dirty mouth. Who is building the proposed bakassi seaport. Don't you see that, it's a partnership between UAE and Cross river government. Where did FG comes in. Bitter fools.

Feasibility study approved by the government that also owns Calabar seaport?

If you are not super dumb, would you not have done concession or even privatisation of the Calabar seapor, like PDP did for Indorama concerning NNPC petrochemicals division?

How can a project relinquishing 80% ownership to an Arab company sound wise to anybody?
Its a normal business like any other... Why shouldn't the company own something it is building from scratch? Africans and thoroughly funny ways of thinking... Built it yourself. You won't. But when a private enterprise wants to do it you still want to claim ownership. Funny!

If you're suffering from low self esteem, why join the people of SS into it?. I don't know how you could join together the SW, SS and Eastern Nigeria in the same sentence. I can't remember the SW being stuck in the past and referring to the present day people of Delta and Edo states as Western region. What we have today is six geopolitical regions, address people by the region they belong and stop burying your head in the past.

-Kiss the truth!
Honestly you are very correct. Those fools forgot the present Edo and Delta state were part of Western region and after separation, the west didn't want to forcefully attached themselves to us. Many of our parents benefitted from Awolowo Free education. My dad was an example. He went to University of Ibadan for free. Igbos don't want to maintain their five state as a zone for now but want to forcefully attach south south to their region. Na by force.

Where is this Southwest propaganda? Onne even does more volume that Apapa port!

Nothing has stopped all the other ports. This agreement was reached with a Yoruba man in office.

Completly nauseating!

Is Tinubu not building a road from Lagos to Calabar?

You're projecting your tribalism on others.

So the state gets just 20% while the UAE firm takes 80%? Something is definitely off here. How does this really benefit Cross River? Hope they didn’t just sell out the project for peanuts.
What nonsense are you talking. Is it about only what the government make, don't you think of the direct and indirect jobs that will be provided. To many educated illiterate on this app. Am so tired.

With the government owning 80% of these projects, where are all the promised jobs? Have you even checked if these agreements favor the government, or are we just signing up for another arbitration mess in the future? Think before you talk.

You must be living in the 1920s.

This is not the first international seaport it is handling. They are experts. Dubai has one of the the biggest ports in Asia, it has a well established Free Trade Zone and it ticks all its boxes!

Can you stop being stupid. Bring the full details of the company Arise IPP let us see who they really are. This is typical SPV that would be used to steal money and in the end we will not see ant port.

There was never a time in Ibadan that free education was sup to university level. It was free at elementary and subsidized at university level. Even when you study a road you go to Western House for you subsidy stipends.make una take am easy to dey lie.

Oga just shut up and stop all this propaganda. When was the last time an ocean going vessel visited Onne. I remember last year when you people want to use propaganda and hide the real fact about Eastern ports. You will now bring a write on an ocean going vessel discharging at Onne, after that the next 7months we will hear nothing. That Arise IPP the name alone is already fishy. This is a classical SPV that will be used to funnel money. I can bet you by 2027 we will not see any bush clearing talk more of a port.

Those children of perdition will not hold their governors accountable now. Cross River is investing in deep sea port but the mofos will never call out their governors. Rather they will be waiting for federal government to come build port for them. Awon afofungbemi, alainironu ara Galatia.
Even if you don't have access to the sea, you can build dry inland port.
Kaduna has dry inland port, same as Oyo state but no they won't drag their governors to do the right thing.
If you knew about all the previous efforts to sabotage the ports in the SE and SS, you would focus on dealing with your lukumi h@litosis
