Notorious Bandit Leaders Surrender, Lay Down Arms in Katsina After Fierce Military Offensive Several notorious bandit leaders, who have long terrorized Batsari, Safana, and Jibia Local Government Areas of Katsina State, have surrendered and laid down their arms following a series of intensified military operations. The surrendering bandits include Abu Radda, Umar Black, Abdullahi Lankai, Jijjige, and Dabar Musa Dan Gandu, all operating from the Jibia axis. Intelligence sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the military’s sustained onslaught against armed groups in the region forced the bandits to seek peace and disarm voluntarily. During their surrender, the repentant bandits appealed to the government to provide them with alternative means of livelihood, requesting the construction of markets, hospitals, and access to clean water to help them reintegrate into society. Their surrender was facilitated by the National Community for Security and Societal Advancement in Katsina (NCSOSACK), led by Comrade Hamisa S. Batsari, which represented affected communities in the security dialogue. The bandits handed over their weapons to the military and released several hostages they had kidnapped during their reign of terror. They also vowed to embrace peace and end their involvement in criminal activities. Top Military sources said that welcomed the surrender but reiterated that operations against unrepentant bandits will continue until total peace is restored in Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and the entire North West and the broader Northwest region. Too hell with those who facilitate this amnesty. Those who have lived by the sword ought to die by the sword |

Odunayaw:They only accept amnesty when the military is closing in on them and when they see everywhere is clear, they return back. They should be jailed, to send a message to other groups |

Odunayaw:You see these Northern governors, especially affected states, they should be blame for all these Amnesty stuffs. These criminals after been pardon will still go back to there old ways. Because the government can't sustain them, judging from the huge funds they make from banditory/terrorism. |

114 battalion HQ of the incompetent @HQNigerianArmy has been dislodged and undisclosed number of soldiers were killed and casualties, it's quite unfortunate that many soldiers fighting this bokoharam fight are yet to know that this Boko Haram fight is a government sponsored fight. MRAPS destroyed, ammunition stolen. Nig Army 114 Battalion in Bita, Borno state, dislodged and overrun by ISWAP early Tuesday, 11 February. Soldiers have returned to assess the damage done to their equipment, with some carted away by the terrorists. 114 is one of the strongest military formations we have in the NE Clarification: the dislodged formation is not the 114 Battalion stationed in Bita, but a nearby Company under its command, along Mubi-Michika Road. Meanwhile the "rehabilitated Boko Haram" are sneaked back into the army and security services

16 years into an insurgency, they still cannot make heads or tails out of an insurgency. They can't identify leaders, they are infiltrated by 5th columnists. Boko Haram is running circles around them. They claim they need this new equipment new helicopters, new UAV, new aviation arm and they will destroy Bokoharam. Yet they can't still do anything. Now the new story is that they need 500,000 new soldiers to defeat Boko Haram. Who are we kidding in this rotten country ![]()

bidexiii:It very sad. You can imagine bandits holding guns in front of our military and they can't arrest them, because a weak governor is more interested in a easy solution that will last for some month. |

bidexiii:TROOPS RECORD SIGNIFICANT SUCCESS AGAINST TERRORISTS IN ZAMFARA AND PARTS OF SOKOTO STATE The troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have dealt a significant blow to terrorist activities in Zamfara and Sokoto States from 1 to 10 February 2025. This operation has resulted in the neutralization of numerous terrorists, including several key terrorist kingpins, thereby enhancing the safety and security of lives and property within the Joint Operations Area. During this period, troops successfully neutralized dozens of terrorists, including kingpins such as Kachalla Na Faransa, Dogon Bakkwalo, Auta Gobaje and Dan Mai Dutsi, among others. Notably, many of these individuals were eliminated in a fierce battle in Shinkafi and Zurmi Local Government Areas (LGA) of Zamfara State as well as Isa LGA of Sokoto State. The operations have also dismantled the terrorist network and destroyed their support structures thus, significantly weakening their operational capacity. In addition to neutralizing key figures, troops have actively targeted terrorist hideouts. An estimated 40 enclaves have been destroyed, with important locations such as Tungar Fulani, Unguwar Goga, Gangara Hill, and Gidan Maji cleared of terrorists. This extensive offensive operation is crucial in disrupting the logistical and operational capabilities of terrorists in the North West region. The troops have also successfully recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, which will be crucial in preventing further attacks. In a compassionate effort, the troops rescued dozens of kidnapped victims during these operations, contributing to the overall security and peace in the affected areas. As Operation continues, Operation FANSAN YAMMA remains committed to disrupting the cycle of terrorism in Northwest Nigeria and Niger State. We encourage the public to continue providing information on the fleeing terrorists including Bello Turji and his henchmen. Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA also assure all citizens that their contributions will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect. They can go to hell’ — Ribadu berates Canadian embassy for denying defence chief visa Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser (NSA), has expressed displeasure at the Canadian embassy for denying Christopher Musa, the chief of defence staff (CDS), and other army chiefs visas. Speaking in Abuja on Thursday at the maiden annual lecture of the National Association of the Institute for Security Studies (AANISS), Ribadu said the North American country “can go to hell”. He was reacting to comments by the CDS, who narrated how he and other top military officers were supposed to be in Canada for an official assignment on Wednesday, but were denied visas. Musa said the Canada event is about honouring war veterans. He said the denial is a clear reminder that the country must “stand on its own, stand strong as a nation and should no longer be taken for granted”. “Every disappointment is a blessing. Yesterday, I was meant to be in Canada. There’s an event to honour our veterans, those that were injured during battles, and we were meant to be there,” Musa said. We were invited with our team. Half has gone and half has been denied. It’s very disappointing.” Ribadu, who could not hide his displeasure, commended the CDS for speaking about the incident. Thank you for the courage to say Canada denied you visas. They can go to hell,” the NSA said. “Even though it’s painful, it’s disrespectful, but we are peaceful and strong and I agree with you that it is time to fix our country. “Yet, this is another reason we work hard to make Nigeria work.” Ribadu also praised the CDS for providing “purposeful leadership” in the war against insecurity. He noted that all security agencies are collaborating across many parts of the country. Source: @thecableng |

Nigeria Customs Service Hands Over Seized Arms to NCCSALW …As CGC Adeniyi Reiterates Commitment to Enhance National Security The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has handed over 1,599 assorted arms and 2,298 live cartridges to the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW). The arms, seized in 2018 in three containers at the Tin Can Island Port, were formally handed over to the NCCSALW on Thursday, 13 February 2025, at the headquarters of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone 'A', Ikeja, Lagos. The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, stated that the handover ceremony demonstrates the NCS’s commitment to protecting national borders and maintaining public safety. “We will spare no resource in hunting down, exposing, and prosecuting anyone who attempts to compromise our national security through arms trafficking,” he said. The CGC also commended the professionalism and courage of officers involved in the seizures and the Forensics Unit for their role in securing convictions. He assured the public of the Service’s commitment to protecting legitimate trade while ensuring national security. “We stand ready to deploy our full arsenal of intelligence and enforcement capabilities to protect legitimate trade as we ensure Nigeria’s security interests remain paramount,” he added. The Director-General of NCCSALW, DIG Johnson Babatunde (Rtd), received the items on behalf of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. He assured that the weapons would be handled in accordance with international conventions. “Nigeria is a signatory to the ECOWAS Convention, and we will not do anything short of international best practice,” he said. He urged all stakeholders to remain vigilant and to continue collaborating to ensure the country remains resilient against the scourge of illicit weaponry.
