It won't be easy but....
Used car battery 75a = 30k or deep cycle battery 65a abt 55-70k
Used pannels 45k to 50k
Inverter of 25k 500w
Cc pwm of 10k
Wire won't be dc wire but single cord copper wire 10k depending on distance.

Contact Joshnka, or google the name, he is a local builder. I’ve used his system. It’s cheap and it will serve you perfectly.

I started out with his 512Wh and moved on to his 768Wh system.

Ask any questions about the system here and I’ll answer you.

I am looking at getting something as a temporary solution that can power 2 laptops and 1 standing fan plus charge 1 phone and can run at least 20 to 24 hours in a day. What do you think of the below solutions? Are they good? Never used the brands before. Which will meet my requirements? Please help. Thank you.

Mordecai:
90k for a 250W mono solar panel
18k for a 30A Pwm solar charge controller
130k for a 100ah 12v gel battery
100k for a 1kva inverter

It's possible, though not an optimal setup. But it will serve till you're ready to upgrade.

Good morning everyone,
Please I need a breakdown of an inverter installation for a small budget of max 600k

I want to buy the components myself to reduce cost, I can then call someone to install it for me.

Recommend good products/brand, capacity and the price
1.1 battery
2.2 solar panels
3. 1.5kva or 2.5kva hybrid inverter, depends on the price
4. Any other things I may need

Hi. Good afternoon. Sorry to disturb o. Please I want to ask if a used car battery can be used for solar set up, since it is not deep-cycle . Is this advisable please. Thank you

Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by Obekpa101: 3:42am On May 11
Yes, ₦350k can get you a basic solar setup, but it depends on the appliances you want to power.

If you’re only trying to run:

Phones
Laptop
WiFi router
LED bulbs
Small fan

…then a single 300W–350W solar panel with a small inverter and battery setup may work for you. Current prices for 300W–350W panels in Nigeria are roughly around ₦80k–₦145k depending on brand and quality. ()

However, if you want to power heavy appliances like:

Fridge
Freezer
Microwave
AC

…then ₦350k will likely not be enough for a complete long-term setup because batteries, inverter, wiring, and installation also add major costs. Some users discussing similar setups on Nairaland mentioned that batteries and inverters alone can consume most of the budget. ()

My advice:
Start with a small expandable setup instead of trying to power the whole house immediately. You can begin with:

1 solar panel
Small inverter
1 battery
Charge controller

Then upgrade gradually as your budget increases.

I recently found this useful resource that explains smart energy and home technology solutions in a way Nigerians can understand:
https://www.gidatechs.com/

It may help you better understand what setup fits your appliances and budget before spending money.
