Everyone is diverted to chase the paper (money) and forget what gives the paper value.
I like the situation of the country... I would like producers to become richer and richer. A farmer should be richer than a government worker. That's how it should be.
True talk.
Our leaders think they are wise!
Even the ones God gave us- Oil, Lands,Good weather ☁️,good Agricultural land, but we failed to develop, because of Corruption and Greed!
Then,we face the Children, Youths Revolt against our Politicians in ALL the States.

This is not about tribe Oga, everybody is feeling the heat, but come to think of it, Igbos in the East are not buying it this expensive.
Red oll is majorly produced in the south. That's why it's relatively cheap here. That's 1k in my state. Rivers

In many cases na we dey do ourselves!
Nor be we dey do ourselves bro. Poor governance affects every sector. The people processing this palm oil will pay higher prices than usual to have them cut, pay higher prices to transport them to the oil mill, pay higher to have them processed at the mill, pay higher to buy gallons, pay higher to have the transported to the markets and all.
And from these sales, they will still buy other food items expensively. If I am selling red oil a gallon for 5k when rice was selling for 34k per bag, why will I not increase the price to 30k now that rice is 100k per bag for me to be able to afford to buy rice after selling my red oil.
Reason am nah.

cry I bought this oil yesterday in the market here in the North for 2500 naira, this morning after turning it into a 2½ litre of container I nearly shed tears. Chai, if I continue buying oil this expensive how am I going to make it. Coconut and red oil is too expensive here. This is just one bottle oo, a milk cup of it is 500 naira.
It's understandable why it's expensive Coconut and palm fruit can not grow in the North

I could remember when 20 litres of red oil was 4k only, things have really changed in our society, where did we get it all wrong?
APC you remember when GoodLuck Jonathan warned us. His wife Patience Jonathan even put it lightly this way when people were shouting change change in stadium when she went for campaign in 2014 and I quote " Those of you shouting change change, by the time APC is done with you Nigerians even change wey remain in una pucket no go buy anything "

The later part of your post is what i am saying! Even if your Cost of sales is minimal you'll still find a way to rip off the masses! I'll prefer to sell more and produce more with an average profit. That's why association of Garri sellers were against a seller who was selling way lower than them the other time on nairaland! She wants to sell at the price that pays her but they claim she's taking their customers.

Na so Nigeria be! Blame everything on government!

Why I love Tinubu is that he clearly told Nigerians what he will do if elected. Raise taxes and reduce the peoples purchasing power. Shebi na north dey feed the nation?
He made it more clearer by saying he will widden the net of tax so that it will catch everybody and everything.
So whoever that is complaining is on a long thing. It was Nigerians that voted for him and he will still win come 2027 so why all these complains?

You have always shown yourself to be a very foolish person. A forum like this will be more useful if people like you are purged so that reasonable people can contribute and discuss meaningfully.
If you don't have anything meaningful to contribute to a topic why not just read others comments. You mustn't display how poorly brought up you are in a place like this.
Enough of this tribal bigoted comments and unnecessary show of superiority.
