They are most likely involved with a visa racket that uses such events and diplomatic trips to include names of people they collected huge money from into list of people attending the trip.
It is common with government agencies, especially ministry of foreign affairs. The Canadian embassy must have detected such fake names and cancelled the visa application

Canada has a very useless immigration.I hav been to over 15 countries outside africa n still canada denied me visit visa.I have had uk visa like 7 times oh .....i too was shocked.Becos i hav company introduction letter n payslips showing i hav funds paid in hard currency.
Omo those people can mess anyone up.Mind u....i hav neverbeen denied visa in my life xcept by IRCC canada

It was denied because of what Amaka told them about Nigeria. You remember Amaka's arrest and how it ended? Canada told Nigeria to go and put her house in order. Terrible things were learned from the intelligence gathered from that single episode.

Your travel history is irrelevant when it comes to your application and intents not convincing enough to them. It does not make them useless

I did survey of my properties,plus am married in naija wir marriage cert all included
