The man do well, The boy did well too.

See good Oga na, No be some devils - After serving them for years, They will start looking for an accusation to heap on the young man so as not to settle him.
That is why an apprentice should serve his boss whole heartedly, faithfully and also should always pray for his boss ' prosperity.
Because it is when oga prospered and made good profit that he will be able to settle the apprentice handsomely

The ingenuity of the Igbo is worth celebrating. It is not a coincidence that they are key players in the Nigerian economic landscape.

The apprenticeship system they practice had helped countless numbers of young men find their footing. It is commendable.

I was sharing something with my wife recently how a group of young men(all multi millionaires currently) in my location, got thier break. It all began with their boss, an elderly man now. He came to town in 1991 with practically nothing. But he started paper business. He had served in Onitsha but was settled and he moved to our town. He brought two boys with him. They served for years and he settled them. They went on to be even bigger than him with multiple young men under them. They settled those young men and those young men, all less than 35 have huge paper businesses of their own. One of them has a shopping plaza with 64 shops currently. Non of them bothered with formal education but how much education do you need to control tens of millions? With lawyers and educated people at your beck and call?

You will be hard pressed to find any shopping plaza in Makurdi, Benue state that isn't owned by an Igbo man. An Igbo man who set out with nothing really.

Diligent service pays.
very inspiring

An Igbo Nigerian businessman has warmed hearts after settling his loyal apprentice with ₦15 million cash and a fully stocked mega shop in Lagos. The emotional moment was captured as the young man, who had served him diligently for seven years, burst into songs of praise, expressing gratitude for his life-changing reward. shocked

In the video circulating online, the apprentice praised his former boss for recognizing his hard work, loyalty, and trustworthiness. The businessman, who follows the popular Igbo apprenticeship system known as ‘Igba Boi’, encouraged the young man to remain steadfast and use the settlement wisely to grow his business empire.

The clip has sparked admiration online, with many celebrating the Igbo tradition of empowering apprentices and building generational wealth.

This just gave me goose pimples. I remember with nostalgia when my childhood friend was settled then with 1mil. Then to settle someone na big event oh. Both the Oga people and the apprentice people go gather. When the man called the money everyone shock. I mean USD was #85 then. The boy father collapsed.

This is one thing that Yorubas can never do, infact they will ask the apprentice to pay money for learning the trade, and the apprentice must settle the oga at the completion of the learning period with alot of money and a very long list of items to bring before freedom prayers can be offered

That is the difference btw some set of pipu.some ogs will find one case wey be say e go land u into borrowing self.
Igbo apprentice is different from Yoruba my pipu.
Here in osogbo, the list of items OGA will ask u to bring will even makes u forget u learn that work.

And am sure that with that 15m ibo OGA will still facilitate how this boy will take collect 30m goods from Alaba. Igbo are the best when it's comes to apprenticeship. Am a Yoruba Oluwasegun by name before u quote me

Assuming he didn't use his destiny and he wasn't sodomized, that amounts to 6K per day of being abused and used rain or shine. It's not a favor, the apprentice earned every penny of that money.

that is why you re poor, how many w/c can you count in that shop, you dnt believe in legit hustle, you re looking for air conditioned office and executive chairs with exotic wines and whiskies scattered on the side bar, how many pos machine did you see on the table there? Igbo men re built different, legit hustle is not for show off. I watched the video and broke down.
