Yes, including dormant accounts especially when they discover the owner is deceased. These banks are only interested in the welfare of their investors and not the customers who bring in the money.

There are lot of metrics to know if a bank is big or not but i will use total asset, customer base and also asset under management(asset they manage for clients

A bank's total assets are the sum of all its financial and nonfinancial assets. This includes cash, loans, securities, and reserves.

what is the customer deposit?, they are actually liabilities but then again, they are a source of liquidity for a bank.

the biggest bank in South africa SBG has $170 billion in asset while GTB, our biggest bank in Nigeria has $1.12b in asset

SGB has19million customers and manages more than $81b in asset, GTB has 32.8 million customers and manages $219m in asset

even if naira was strong, SA banks will still be bigger because they have more liquidity and assets.
