They had an excellent NHS healthcare system before immigrants flooded in and stretched it beyond its limit. Patients that can afford to pay out of pocket are not affected by this crisis, it's the lower income ones majority of whom are migrants.
you know self meditation has helped us alot , how we have been surviving that way has to be study

I don't think you can comprehend what you wrote very well. Nigeria is a shit hole because the country handlers have made mess of the country, from health care to transportation etc. People like you with newly found love for the govt would soon be tired.
I believe Nigeria would soon become better when the right sets of people are elected but for now, criminals are in charge
God bless u.

So since 1960 we haven't gotten the right person do what's the probability that we will get it in the future 😂😆

You're on point here.

Keir Starmer was in Ukraine on Wednesday to assure Zelenskyy of UK's support, all in a bid to "defeat" Russia.

But back in his home country, there are a lot of problems to be solved, including inadequate NHS hospital facilities.

Like the saying, the West have enough money for wars but don't have money to take care of its citizens.
Country like uk 10* can’t win Russia

Never!

The UK military is weaker than that of Ukraine. Infantry, artillery, aerial power... just name it, UK is militarily inferior in all areas compared to Russia.

Don't they have dispensaries and clinics. Asin, those smaller health centers around?
Lifestone:
It's worse Bro. A friend told me she's had a 3weeks appointment to see the Doctor. You can't just walk in to see a Doctor the same way we do here in Nigeria. Private hospital are too expensive

Does the UK has roadside chemists and pharmacies the way we usually have it here in Nigeria?
otherway:
And I'm telling you first hand as a resident that the person who narrated the story to you is naive.

If a health issue is not pressing, there could be a waiting period of some months which makes sense but when it comes to serious health issue you can walk into the emergency section of any hospital and get prompt treatment same day.

I had an eye surgery after waiting for about 18months cos it's not an emergency and remember we are talking about first class health care absolutely free.

Please don't even mention Nigeria in any form when talking about UK healthcare.

But government hospitals are mostly intelligent and knowledgeable when it comes to treatment and detecting abnormalities in the human bodies compared to private.

What is stem cell?
Konquest:
@davodyguy

Indeed, as long as it's a BENIGN brain tumor as of 2004 till now, then it's absolutely better to leave it as is, so as NOT to complicate issues through surgery.

I don't mean to use a broad stroke to tar all of them, but some medical folks can unintentionally put you in danger with wrong advice due to fatigue or lack of retraining on the current trends in the medical field. There's a gentleman (Dr. Ikudayisi is his name) based in Florida who has also introduced the use of adult stem cell therapy (regenerative medicine) back in Lagos, Nigeria, so, things are panning out right in the medical field on the Motherland as well.

What is stem cell?
Stem cells are a special type of cells that have two important properties. They are able to make more cells like themselves. That is, they self-renew. And they can become other cells that do different things in a process known as differentiation.

Yes they do but there are certain drugs or medicines you can't buy except prescribed.

I'm flying a relative out of UK to get medical attention elsewhere, as NHS are still wasting time.

It's an emergency and they gave us December, 2025 date. This is crazy
Then it is not an emergency. Stop misleading people with lies.

[b]My goodness! December 2025 for a medical emergency? That's a dysfunctional NHS system. I'll have to make this a talking point this weekend with my younger brother who lives in England with his fam.
And you believe him.
