LAGOS ROAD PROJECTS ✅

Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today commissioned the newly rehabilitated Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road—an alternative route to the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza—Lekki, Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

This provides a crucial alternative route that will significantly decongest traffic at the Lekki Epe Toll Plaza, ensuring smoother and more efficient movement for commuters.

This project also aligns with the iconic Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, this newly commissioned project makes it a major part of the state's long-term transportation strategy.

The benefits of this road rehabilitation are multifaceted. Beyond significantly reducing travel time and improving road safety, it will enhance
the overall commuting experience while positively impacting property values and economic activities within this corridor.

FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced that The Green Line Rail Project will start this year, working with MOfi - Ministry of Finance Incorporated.

Mr Governor says this will be a ‘game changer’ for the Lekki Epe Axis, he also announced that the current Road will be expanded and residents should work with Government all through the period.

Mr Governor announced this today at the commissioning of the newly reconstructed Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road—an alternative route to the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza—Lekki, in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

E come be like Oga Sanwo Baba don do pass Oga Fashola and Oga Ambode ...The only sweet thing I like is the way the Governor and Deputy work as a team ..no room for spare tire position that has unfortunately been giving to most deputy Governors .. Today, we officially commissioned two projects under the LASG Infrastructure Project. This initiative is a significant step towards improving the quality of life for our citizens and enhancing the overall transportation network within our city.

The first commissioning is the Abudu Smith Street in Victoria Island. Victoria Island is a hub of business and tourism, and improving this road will facilitate smoother traffic flow, reducing congestion and making it easier for residents and visitors alike to navigate

Additionally, we commissioned the alternative route via Oniru Road, which leads directly to the Admiralty Circle and the Toll Plaza in Lekki in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

These infrastructure improvements are part of our administration’s commitment to building a world-class city that meets the needs of its residents. Investing in our infrastructure is crucial for promoting economic growth, enhancing mobility, and ensuring a better quality of life for all Lagosians.

Together, we will continue to work to create a functional, prosperous, and sustainable Lagos for future generations.

I pass this road daily. Yesufu oniru through City of David down to rainoil junction. It is good, but not really alternative road. It took more than 8 years to finish this less than 15 km road

Lagos starts and ends on the Island....

I am Igbomina, stop your tribal war. My tax in a month can pay at least four minimum wages. I have people in Atlantic Estate, so I know this road. I even thought it will not be completed.

I must admit that they did a good job on that road. The traffic used to be a nightmare in the evenings, especially between Dangote and that bend in front of the mosque. I once regretted taking that road. If I had been in a commercial vehicle, I'd have alighted and used my legedez to navigate to Lekki new market. The only problem I have is that there's no U-turn anywhere between the mosque end and the Lekki end. I expected them to creat one around the palace gate. Someone coming from the shoreline estate axis would have to drive all the to Lekki to turn before entering the palace.

I pity anyone that takes these people seriously.

The road opening was done in front of RCCG City of David, as of the time I passed, City of David end was blocked. I know what I am saying.

The road commissioning was done near the junction with Lekki Expressway (not far from the fire station). The plaque is still there! I will go and take a picture of the plaque tomorrow (it's just walking distance from my house).

Dualisation of that road only started around 3 years ago. It's not 8 years.

Don't take these funny people seriously.

If you have little knowledge about engineering and construction work you know it always difficult to build road like this......human and vehicles movement is a big factor and challenge

I made this post on June 3rd, 2021. That's around the time that they began dualising the road.

There are so many roads being worked on.

I already know that Ikoyi is like a giant construction site, but check out what's happening in Lekki. I haven't been to the end of Fola Osibo/Emma Abimbola Cole Street in over 2 years, so I went there this morning and they are finally fixing that part of the road. That is a very important road.


This evening I explored Akiogun Road and discovered that they are dualizing it. Do you know how big that is? That's huge!

The one they are trying to do to your village in the last 26 years still never reach
