There are millions of Nigerians who wake up each day and they definitely don't pray for Nigeria to 'feed' them. They go out and work for their daily bread. The one thing Nigeria owes these people is to defend them from all threats (internal and external) - and Nigeria is failing miserably at it.

Nigerians aren't the ones driving low self esteem, in this case, our leaders are.

It wasn't like the embassy didn't give visas to some of them. The issue is because they didn't see a need to give all of them visas for the event they were headed for.

It is news because the chief of Defense staff was one of those denied.

The country you are headed for know that the event being used by the entourage to jettison into Canada wasn't solid enough.

Instead of hiding our heads in shame for the reckless way we spend taxpayers money, they are writing epistle.

Nigerians will defend Nigeria when it is a good cause— we saw that play out during Chidimma Adetshina saga.

These guys are the ones with low self esteem where a whole Minister of Defense would leave his duty post for an irrelevant event.

The Canadian Embassy deserves our thanks.

They simply told our defense staff to go cater to more pressing needs in our security as a nation and let other less high ranking officers attend the Canadian event.

That was what the denial aimed to achieve.

Since we don't know how to set priorities as a nation, why make news when those who do redirect our focus?
