My name is Samuel and I'll be undergoing a 40 days water fast starting today.

Water fast means I'll only take water for the whole 40 days.

The prayer requests for the fast

1. Increase in IQ: I'm a graduate but I still have a very low IQ, I can't think or reason at a normal rate. I might be a little above functionally retarded.

2. Spiritual growth: I can speak in tongues but it's been a long time since I prayed or read the Bible. I hope the fast will help

3. Mental stability: I've been depressed and suicidal for at least 12 years now. I was on antidepressants for about 4 years and it helped but I stopped because of the side effects. I hope the fast will help

4. Financial Stability: I'm 33 and still live with my mother with no hope reasonable employment because of my IQ. I'm also like over 60k in debt. I'm hoping the fast will help with that.

What support do u really want. U don't have to come here announcing ur fasting and prayer bro. U already failed as God requires we do these things from a place of true repentance and honesty. Go into ur closet shut d door and cry out to ur God.

Even our Lord Jesus admonished us to keep fasting private not public.

Nothing influences the spiritual realm more powerfully than fasting and that is why we should keep it secret because the devil will fight you from fasting if he gets to know.

Hopefully you don't have to do complete 40 days before your prayer is answered..

I'll take any kind of support, whether it's money or just words of encouragement. I'm hoping the fast will help with the "true repentance and honesty". My spiritual life has been in shambles for months now.

Doing a 40 day only water fast requires the grace of God. It's very difficult and can be suicidal.

Kenneth hagin of blessed memories never fasted beyond 3 days and God used him so mightily in ministry even to this day through his books.

I would advise you do a 3 day fast, it's very effective as long as you spend more time in God's WORD and pray.

Some men of God attempted to fast 40 days and died in the process. From one account of pastor Adeboye, I read that he ate 2 or 3 slices of bread everyday when he underwent one of his numerous 40day fast just for strength....

It ain't easy bro, but above all be led by the Holy Spirit and not your flesh.

Brother I feel you but 40 days without food is no joke bro. You can develop Ulcer and other ailments. You can even loose your life in the process if care is not taken.

My advice is that you eat at least once per day to help you stay alive, healthy and strong.

Don't just fast and pray.. Take actions too. Search for jobs.. Submit your CV to many places.

Talk to friends and family if need be.

May God give you the grace for the labor and grant you your heart desires in Jesus Name Amen.

Day one is almost complete but I won't be posting daily updates. I opened this thread for support but all I got was haters.

If you want to commit suicide, just tell us. Don’t sugarcoat it in the name of fasting.
