A disturbing video has surfaced showing a young boy, reportedly no older than 10 years, confessing to undergoing arms training alongside at least 30 other children in a forest near Ajiri, Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The video, recorded on Jan. 22, 2025, captured the boy demonstrating his knowledge of handling firearms. During an interrogation, he revealed that he and other children of similar age were receiving military drills deep inside the forest.

“They are training us on weapons handling. Ali Shehu, Umar, Alhaji, and Malam Oro are the ones training us. We are at least 20 to 30. We are all young boys, some are bigger than me while I senior some of them,” the boy confessed.

To support his claims, the child was handed an AK-47 rifle, which he expertly stripped and reassembled with near-perfect precision. He also unloaded and reloaded a magazine, displaying an alarming level of proficiency in handling the weapon.

In a desperate attempt, ISWAP and Boko Haram are now targeting minors for recruitment and radicalization. The use of child soldiers remains a persistent threat, with militant factions exploiting vulnerable children to sustain their ranks.

Since USAID was established by congress, they cannot technically shut it down. So they played a smart game. First he made Marco Rubio, the state secretary head of USAID.

Now they know that courts will still order that funds allocated for USAID be spent so they started the whole terrroism story to achieve two things. Destroy public support locally and internationally for USAID, and crush any support for it in congress. GOP senators will no longer want to vote for any further funding for USAID and her finance will stall. Next all current employees will either leave or move to the state dept.

As for the effects in Africa. Well we’ve seen this game play out in Mali and Niger. Anti western sentiment grew, coups happened and all the NGOs got chased out. Did insurgency reduce? The opposite happened.

The facts are that monies and aid are going directly or indirectly to terrorist organizations around the world including ISIS and boko haram from USAID.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has intensified its fight against violent and organized crimes, neutralizing nine terrorists and recovering 23 firearms in recent operations across the country.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police reaffirmed their commitment to dismantling criminal networks threatening internal security.

The statement revealed that on February 14, armed men invaded Gobiraje Village in Suru Local Government Area of Kebbi State and kidnapped a 60-year-old man, Umaru Bawa. Upon receiving the report, police operatives trailed the suspects to Tundafari Forest in the Dakingari axis, engaging them in a fierce gun battle. Four kidnappers were neutralized, one was arrested with fatal injuries, and the victim was rescued unhurt. The police also recovered ₦3 million, which had already been paid as ransom.

Similarly, on February 8, operatives of the Imo State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, raided an IPOB/ESN camp in Ezioha Mbaitolu, Umuele Umuaka Njaba LGA. The operation led to the neutralization of two ESN kingpins and the recovery of seven AK-47 rifles, 13 pump-action guns, and hundreds of rounds of live ammunition.

A follow-up operation on February 9 at the Nkwukwo Forest in Mbaitoli LGA, bordering Ubachima Forest in Awomama Oru West LGA, resulted in another armed confrontation. Three additional terrorist leaders were neutralized, and security operatives recovered two AK-47 rifles loaded with 36 rounds of live ammunition, one pump-action gun, a cutlass, four motorcycles, and various criminal charms.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun commended the operatives for their bravery and emphasized the importance of sustained intelligence gathering and community engagement.

He assured Nigerians that the police would continue their efforts to enhance security nationwide and urged citizens to promptly report suspicious activities.

Troops of Operation TSAFTA DAJI III, Phase 2 have intensified clearance operations against bandits in Zamfara State, conducting multiple raids in Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA). The latest offensive led to the recovery of arms, ammunition, military gear, and logistics belonging to terrorist kingpins.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the troops launched a fighting patrol targeting a known hideout of the notorious bandit leader Sani Black at Tungar Fulani on February 20, 2025. The operation aimed to dismantle the terrorist stronghold and disrupt their activities.

However, upon arrival, troops met no resistance as the remaining bandits had fled deep into the forest before the soldiers’ approach. Following the successful raid in Tungar Fulani, troops proceeded to Gidan Baye Auta both known to harbor terrorist elements.

Upon arrival, troops came under fire from bandits attempting to defend their positions. The soldiers swiftly returned fire, neutralizing one terrorist while the rest fled on motorcycles. Troops recovered a motorcycle from the neutralized bandit before successfully securing the area.

Later in the evening, at approximately 1800 hours, intelligence reports led troops to Kalage Village, where they uncovered a food supply cache linked to the notorious terrorist kingpin, Kachallah Gidado. 

The troops seized 10 bags of sorghum, a crucial food source for the insurgents, dealing a blow to their supply chain.

The Nigerian military has sustained clearance operations against terrorist enclaves in Zamfara and across the Northwest, resulting in the elimination of scores of bandits and the destruction of their stronghold.  Military authorities have urged local communities to cooperate with security forces by reporting suspicious activities, emphasizing that operations will continue until all terrorist networks are dismantled.

The recent successes of Operation TSAFTA DAJI III, Phase 2 reinforce the military’s efforts to restore peace and security in Zurmi LGA and surrounding areas.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has directed troops to sustain the onslaught against terrorists in the North West and apply ingenuity in military operations to defeat insurgency in the region.

“The Nigerian Army, in synergy with sister services and other security agencies, has continued to apply pressure on terrorist elements. Your commitment and sacrifices are making a remarkable difference in safeguarding Nigeria’s defence and security,” General Oluyede stated.

“We will spare no resource in hunting down, exposing, and prosecuting anyone who attempts to compromise our national security through arms trafficking,” he said.

The CGC also commended the professionalism and courage of officers involved in the seizures and the Forensics Unit for their role in securing convictions.

He assured the public of the Service’s commitment to protecting legitimate trade while ensuring national security.

“We stand ready to deploy our full arsenal of intelligence and enforcement capabilities to protect legitimate trade as we ensure Nigeria’s security interests remain paramount,” he added.

The Director-General of NCCSALW, DIG Johnson Babatunde (Rtd), received the items on behalf of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. He assured that the weapons would be handled in accordance with international conventions.

[/b]COAS PAYS MAIDEN VISIT TO 35 ARTILLERY BRIGADE ... Charges troops to invigorate operations in defence of Nigeria[b]

In continuation of his working tour of Nigerian Army (NA) formations and units, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede has paid a maiden visit to the Headquarters 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks Abeokuta, Ogun State on Tuesday 25 February 2025. On arrival, the COAS was immediately briefed on the security situation of Ogun and the contiguous states, as well as the operations activities of the Brigade by the Commander Brigadier General Godwin Nwamba.

Addressing the troops, the Army Chief stated that he was in the Brigade to evaluate the well-being of the troops and the Brigade's operations activities. He clarified that he had received a thorough briefing on the challenges confronting the Brigade and assured that they will receive due attention in order of priority. General Oluyede also disclosed that he was in Abeokuta to tell the troops what he expects from them as professional soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

The COAS charged the troops to invigorate their operations in defence of Nigeria. He explained that without a safe and secure environment, there could never be any meaningful national development.
Gen Oluyede reiterated his "soldier-first" mantra, stressing that under his watch, soldiers would come first, and their welfare would be accorded priority. He urged them to endeavor to access the NA soft Loan Scheme, which he said has an unrivaled low interest rate of only 3 percent to economically empower their families for improved living standards. He appreciated the troops for their sacrifices in the effort to secure the country.

[/b]The COAS later inspected the state of facilities in the Barracks and visited the Momas-Epail Military Industrial Complex, where he was taken on an inspection tour of military hardwares produced in the complex[b]
