Was the girl deserving of the expulsion, emphatically YES.

She went berserk and physically assaulted the lecturer.

She exhibited poor impulse control, uncontrollable emotional outbursts and extreme anger issues.

I absolutely condemn her behaviour and I'm of the opinion she needs anger and behavioural therapy for these issues, and not a scholarship.

Hindsight is 20/20 but the lecturer too could have passed through in another way.

Rather than touch her back, he should have walked up to her, stood his ground and told her in a firm and authoritative tone, "Excuse me young lady, you're obstructing my path" and the girl would have been so apologetic and be like "Oh I'm so sorry sir, I didn't see you coming" and scurried away.
