Even though the position of the Senate President is unique, his so called superiority is mostly procedural and administrative and not in the absolute terms. His duty is to ensure efficient legislative processes, preside over plenaries and maintain order. In terms of legislative responsibilities and powers, they are equal. If you like you can go and sit in the courts and tribunals, as you always claim to find out.

All Senators are equal, irrespective of their positions, they have equal voting rights and powers to propose bills, participate in debates and perform other legislative functions.

“What happened before them is immaterial”. No wonder the country is in this horrible state. If it was immaterial, why then did it become such a big issue? If it was immaterial, why then did Senator Karimu claim that he was slighted in the process by Senator Natasha.
