Sometimes the American federal government had to use federal law agents to enforce civil rights laws.

Most of the Nigerian crime rate rises from our resource dependent economy. USA is an industrial economy. Meaning jobs get created well.there and people are well.employed

Also USA taxes everyone. Meaning there is money for forensics. USA colleges charge sky high fees which means they have enough money to fund research and forensic labs. Which helps crime fighting..

There's criminality in the south-east just as there is in every other region, but that of the south-east took on a wider and more complex dimension after that evil party, APC, snatched power in 2015! The sheer incompetence, lack of capacity to govern and preoccupation with other things besides governance displayed by the owners and controllers of APC (the Yoruba and Fulani hegemonic alliance), as well as their hatred and disdain for the Igbo, led to the current spate of insecurity we're witnessing in the south-east, and IT WILL NOT ABATE unless this evil alliance is removed and/or TRUE state policing replaces the current unified, Abuja-led security set-up!

Besides the importation of criminals into the south-east which started after 2015, local criminally minded Igbos' have now taken advantage of the absence of capacity and/or a desire from the centre (Abuja) to provide security in the south-east, to engage in criminality themselves! It takes a strong resolve by individual state gov'ts in the region to work around the problems brought about by the unified/centralised form of policing in Nigeria to ensure security in their respective states, and this is where Governor Peter Mbah should be commended for his efforts! This unitary system of gov't in Nigeria that the hegemonic alliance depends on has led to problems in other areas besides security issues, but that's a topic for another day or thread!

Even if we pay 1 million in tax per person in Nigeria now, criminals lik the ones in Aso Rock will steal it. That's beside the case we're treating.

What I insist on is local knowledge. Local knowledge will remove a lot of things like much spending. So forget about frightening us with money, safety deserves all we can put into it.

Those who live in other regions or have not visited the South East and experience this wouldn't understand how serious it is.
You will even be ashamed of being a Nigerian seeing what these security forces do in the South East. Very shameful.
