From time to time, government must intervene to prevent;

Monopoly
Scarcity
Social unrest
Security risks.

If you were in government, you would do the same.
Which monopoly?
The monopoly of NNPCL been the sole importer of petrol into Nigeria and hiding it's operation in secrecy?
The scarcity created by NNPCL whenever they want to increase the price of petrol?

I don't know why you think I want NNPC or even Dangote to be the sole producer/importer.

You love self-deception
You export crude to Europe and import petrol at €2/petrol and using secret subsidy to cover up
Be deceiving urself, Ghana sells 15.96 cedis which is equal to 1usd

all of you saying monopoly... Nothing stops you from building your own refinery
Why are they stopping marketers from importing?

You don't understand what monopoly means, nnpc will not tell you it's importing cos of monopoly, highest it will say cos of availability

Sebi they say pH refinery is working, let's assume they have sold all crude, why don't they import crude instead of petrol
You finished your nonsense without telling me the meaning of Monopoly

Imagine importing a litre of petrol from Europe where the cheapest price is €1.7/litre i.e N2,720, then landing cost in Nigeria becomes N900+.
Later, you hear importers demanding for under-recovery from the federal government.
Where are you getting this your price from?😆 Oil marketers in Nigeria are not buying petrol from filling stations in Europe, they are buying directly from the refineries.

You're the only person have seen claiming government is still paying subsidy.

Either intervene fully and bring back subsided or don’t. Let them stop paying small subsidy because they want to bring down their price to match dangote’s.
They are wasting scarce dollars.
