📖 Bible reading: Esther 2:1-18 King Xerxes the king of Persia, (which was the most powerful nation at the time) organized a nationwide search for a beautiful virgin to replace Queen Vashti who had defied him openly. After a random recruitment, many virgin girls were taken into custody by Hegai, who was in charge of them all. The girls were groomed for twelve months with various beauty cosmetics, perfumes, ointments and put on a diet. At the end of it all, the girls were paraded before the King for his assessment; yes, king Xerxes was the sole judge in this beauty pageant! The girl that the king found most attractive would be the next queen and the rest would be relegated to the king's harem of concubines. Out of all the contestants, the King fell in love with a Jewish girl called Esther. It wasn't as if Esther was the most beautiful, but she had a certain glow (God's presence) around her that made her uniquely gorgeous 😍. King Xerxes, smitten with Esther's beauty, placed a crown 👑 on her head cementing her position as his new queen. God would later use queen Esther to save the Israelites from genocide thus preserving the Abrahamic lineage through which Jesus would come. Four things we can learn here about beauty and beauty contests: 1. Beauty competitions aren't always a true test of beauty. True beauty isn't just outward but inward, born out of a close relationship with God. Esther was beautiful within and without. (1 Peter 3:3-4, Proverbs 31:30) 2. An attractive woman can win a beauty competition, but if she lacks decisive judgement like Esther who saved her people from extinction, she's a gold ring in a pig's 🐷 snout. (Proverbs 11:22) 3. The intensive use of make-up and creams by beauty contestants cannot replace the presence of God which truly beautifies. (Psalm 50:2) The glory of God overshadowed Esther as everyone who saw her loved her. (Esther 2:15) 4. Many modern beauty contests like that of Esther's era, have had cases of sexual exploitation by its organisers. Esther was not only beautiful, she was an epitome of beauty. Esther is known by billions worldwide, not only for her good looks but courage, faith, wisdom and dedication. How many beauty queens today can stand out like Queen Esther? 1 Peter 3:3-4 The Passion Translation (TPT) Let your true beauty come from your inner personality, not a focus on the external. For lasting beauty comes from a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is precious in God's sight and is much more important than the outward adornment of elaborate hair, jewelry, and fine clothes. 1Tim.2.9-10 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. Dunno what makes a woman beautiful though I know what makes them ugly. To me, the absence of contentment in the negroid female is the most distaasteful trait I've seen in human females. Seeing African women putting on Cucausian hair makes them seem really like objects of mockery to me. Why aare black women the only ones not ptoud of their natural looks. Women these days think beauty is about exposing themselves, Putting on bum shorts,and wearing tight clothes to expose their sexual features publicly, but they don’t realize that in mens eyes, true beauty comes from dignity, purity, and self-respect. When it comes to women; character is the definition of beauty. Bodily beauty is relative, as every man has his own idea of a beautiful woman. Attend any meeting of married women and you'll see some women and begin to wonder how their husbands manage to do The Thing with them. Yet, to those men, they're the most beautiful women on earth. There is no ugly woman both physically and character wise. Give her just two things and see the 10th wonder of the world. Give a woman money and more money and see her physical being transform. Genuine empathy. You see those women, who can adopt and take care of other peoples children, the same way they cater for their own children. No difference. In the real sense of it, you can hardly find any beautiful lady in Nigeria of present age. A physically attractive lady, working, not bleached her destiny away, no sugar daddy/uncle, morally upright and not yet a single mother of two from different guys. A young guy trying to start his life begins to contend with many of her baggage |

The beauty of a woman is undefined because of our perspective. Personally, a woman is beautiful in her character and personality. On a lighter note, I love a woman with large size butt. |
