The mother isn't around. We do not have lions in our dry land in West Africa. Possibly the cub most have strayed away from the sanctuary or confined space he was kept before he was seen and picked up by his present keeper.

This is definetely not true.

My dad once saw a lion in the wild late 90s somewhere around Kogi. He was an officer of NA and was serving in Kogi barracks then. He normally climb hills around kogi as a hobby with his double barrel gun and once sighted a lion walking majestically in the wild.

He said he stay alerted in case he was attacked, but choose not to shoot at it cos he had only red coloured cartridges meant for smaller animals and birds.

the only way to tame these beasts is to cross breed them with domestic animals over and over till their wild instincts dissapear, u can't find a baby lion and tame it.

After watching this 1981 movie, Roar, I had a different view about Lions. If raised from cubs, they are not as dangerous as wild lions. Over 100 big cats were used in this movie, and no one died.

Stop saying what you don't know. Why do you think "animal experts" keep releasing "domesticated wild animals" into the wild? They know they can survive. There was a problem in my area .... some people have dogs as pets ...from pups... raised in house ..not yard ...and for various reasons when the dogs are already fully grown... would take them to a particular secluded area and abandon them. These ehmmm ...... aje butter dogs link up and be running in packs ....terrorizing nearby communities. And these are domesticated for generations dogs ...not "wild animals".

At topic ....that dog days are numbered. The lion is very young...but in the video ...one can see his instincts are in effect. Note how he jumped on the dogs back ...attack mode in progress ...and towards the end..how he goes for the dog's neck ... checkmate move. Hope no children around. The sooner he takes it to a zoo or deep forest the better and safer for him. These big cats are on another level .... had a first hand experience with one ...only days old .... a baby ... it was ferocious ... no other word can describe its reaction ... ,nearly gave me heart attack.
