Casham:
I think the japa syndrome is propelled by nothing other than low self esteem.

A Nigerian generally considers himself lower and inferior to a white man. Most Nigerians worship white people.
We hate been black and despise anything black. So this Japa nonsense we are hearing has very little to do with financial independence. We are a loud-mouthed people who complain about everything, especially the government; as long as we are not the ones eating the national cake.

We are just slaves of our own making. We are a disgrace to our ancestors aswear.
You were making sense until you got to the last paragraph and started talking nonsense!

Bros na money ooo, those that are lucky to get it going in Naija I envy them they r so fortunate.
Me, I've not benefited anything in this country. No Fg program ever favour me, I think this country is not built for my type of person that hates lie, cutting corners and dramas. Just want to be ok with my family, work, live healthy and be OK. And I dont care the nature of the work so far it's legit, come with peace and enough to give me the basics of life. I'm ok.

I don't believe in Nigeria, because even we as a people are f**kedup. Most of my friend that have jakpa all have at least one thing in common, they now value humanity and show care more than this dog eat dog we do in Nigeria.

So na money hold me I don't belong to this shitty country

Bleep Nigeria
Will you shut up and get out.

The US and Europe are filled with thousands of frustrated Nigerians with degrees, including masters degrees, and are doing security work or driving delivery vans. Many are stuck there and can’t afford to return back because they have no money to start afresh etc.

Many of those guys have friends in Nigeria doing very well and living in mansions, while they are paying rent at small apartments for donkey years in America and UK.

Plus jobs are not as widely available as they used to be.

So STAYING AND BUILDING UP YOURSELF IN NIGERIA IS AN OPTION TO CONSIDER.

YOU ARE LAZY. That’s your problem.

Go and learn a skill online for free and offer your services.

Your juniors in this Nigeria are building houses just from money they earn by offering graphic design services, SEO, coding, Forex, crypto trading, YouTube channel etc.

Too many ways to make money in Nigeria today, so long as you put your head down and work.

Training is FREE on YouTube and elsewhere.

But no. You will be talking rubbish until you end up as bottom wiper or security guard in the west.

How do you explain that a very serious someone without a valid permit in uk/canada/usa built a standard house, sent his children abroad on masters and still has other investments in Nigeria, ready to retire after 15years abroad.

Whereas his counterpart in Nigeria who is very very serious with life and savings still earns a mere 170k from his 85k starting salary in Lagos after 15years of working at a new generation bank without any tangible investment, to even pay his childrens fees don hard. NB: his salary is now $100usd per month

His counterpart is now ready to retire to Nigeria, marry a new young wife (fresh blood) whereas he is still trying to figure out life. He is not lazy, He has tried different businesses that failed, he has written cert exams to improve himself.. what more undecided

I love Nigeria but if you're from an average family (now poor family in this economy) and you have the opportunity with regards to finance even if from a lender, kindly leave.

It is not a bed of roses on this side but I prefer a well structured economy than one riding on hope for a better future since 1960

Nigeria will be great again, until then I dy canada dy chill.

YOU ARE TALKING CRAP.

You don’t have to be employed by anyone in Nigeria.

You can learn a skill and offer your services.

I know a girl that learned how to bake exotic cakes online. She now makes the cakes and posts on Instagram, FB etc.

She supplies to people daily.

She earns more money per month than even bankers.

On YouTube we have young guys with tens of thousands of subscribers who post stuff on their channels and are banking thousands of dollars every month in this Nigeria.

Easy money.

You are just lazy and don’t want to brainstorm.

Fund!!! 😞😞😞
I don’t believe Nigeria will be better , even if it will , it can’t happen in our generation.

Therefore, I deserve to experience what it means to live under a working system- that embraces fairness in labor and hard work.
A system that uses tax payers money as promised. And a system that prioritizes the welfare of everyone without bias as to class.

I wish to find myself in such a beautiful world that I will naturally be motivated to put in more effort not for myself but for the common goal we share as a society.

Yes sir/ma.

How many people don learn Cake baking? How many people in Nigeria will be successful baking cakes?

We have a large population, kindly get on the street, run some interviews and check how many people get 2-5 different skills. Still life no balance.

How many people can get a well secured future baking cake in Nigeria? Those baking cake are now into makeup, fashion, wigs e.t.c. but how many have been successful? Some girls have had to add hookup as dm don tire.

I actually have the same view with him. Nigeria will get better o. It can't continue like this.

Even though I have applied for visa for myself and kids but not sure I can japa if given visa. I love to buy plenty lands and properties first to secure the future of my kids too. I gained admission in Canada and they asked me to pay a deposit of less than 1m to process my visa. The truth is, I lost interest because I'm not an early morning person. I like soft life n I can only get it here in naija.

If you have money, buy properties and keep o before u japa. Let me keep this here

Go and sit down my friend. You need to learn how to market and brand yourself. And also be PATIENT as your business grows.

It’s not just about learning a skill and expecting customers the same day, or expecting big profits within a few weeks, failing which you give up and start trying other things.

You must be patient with the business and let it grow.

The streets are filled with SUVs and exotic vehicles. These are your mates making money here.

I love Nigeria, but truth is truth. Abroad is not a bed of roses but a brighter future is more guranteed. Let who wants to stay stay and who wants to leave leave grin
