Nigerians, Lets Go On A Vacation by tourismlove: 1:16pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
Hello everyone, It’s the last day of the month of August. The summer period is almost over and this is the best time to take a vacation. What is a Vacation? According to Wikipedia, a vacation or holiday is a leave of absence from a regular occupation usually for the purpose of recreation, relaxation, family bonding or tourism. Even leaving what you usually do for 2-3days for recreation and going somewhere different to take your mind completely off work is a vacation. It is popular believed that most Nigerians don't go on vacations or that vacations are only for the wealthy. I am here to tell you that you don’t have to leave the shores of Nigeria to enjoy a vacation. We have several lovely vacations sights within the country. I know you have a lot of office workload, stress and bills to pay, but look at it this way; if anything should happen to you while on this job; that company would still go on without you. This brings me to my next point; WORK-LIFE-BALANCE. Work –Life balance is used to describe the balance that an individual needs between time allocated for work and other aspects of life. Areas of life other than work can be, but not limited to personal interests, family and social or leisure activities. 7 Importance of Vacations Vacations help to relieve stress which in turn promotes better physical and mental health. Relaxing and getting away from your worries (both personal and professional) can help lower anxiety. Vacations Help Maintain Focus, people who vacation regularly feel energized and more ready to tackle the tasks at hand. Vacations Help Prevent Illness, A recent survey found that people who take regular vacations report being and feeling healthier. Vacations Improve Your Sex Life. Surveys indicate people who vacation regularly reported feeling sexier, with greater romance in their relationships which equates to better sex! Vacations Strengthen Relationships. Vacationing with your family or loved ones help forge closer bonds. Vacations Make You More Productive At Work. Workers report feeling more creative after taking time off, and more than 70% of them reported feeling more satisfied with their jobs when they took regular vacations. Go on that vacation with the kids before they resume to school. This would strengthen your relationship. Kids don’t remember the toys you bought for them, they remember the experience. Go on a couple’s getaway, rekindle the flame of affection, and let tourism meet romance. The best thing you can buy with your money isn’t material; its experiences. It stays with you forever. Your clothes will tear, your car will be outdated but you will always have your experiences with you. Idydarling:accept my deepest condolence. Yes you can go on a vacation away from home, away from the place of incident. Take a vacation where you can have the best feel of nature, where you can mourn and grieve with no hindrance. Trust me, you'll come back sane and healthier. Hugs! 17 Likes 1 Share |

Sadly many feel it is of no use. One can start out with local tourism. Locally, Nsukka is my favourite destination. 1 Like |
