Does the VO have a POS for payment of the visa fees? Or u would be forced to do it outside the gate.

If one does not have cash. Hope is not an issue?

From what I know it’s advisable to go with cash

You can pay with card too. They have POS that will be brought in during the interview. Just make sure you have the naira equivalent for the visa fee of 75 Euro.

I got admitted to a Bachelor degree in Germany, I enrolled for Winter semester 2024, due to the waiting time for Visa appointment, I didn't meet up for lectures. I have been in communication with the University all this while.

I was asked by the school to apply for leave of Absence for Winter semester, which I did. They also reminded me for RE-ENROLMENT for this coming Summer semester 2025 (Second semester of my program) which I also did due to the short deadline given to me.

I booked appointment in September 2023. Will it be an issue if I also apply for another leave of Absence for the summer semester 2025?. I am really confused as I don't know if I am on the right track. I have the two semester's enrollment certificate and admission letter that was issued for Winter semester 2024.

Please I need to be sure that I am not making any mistakes. Please any advice or direction will be appreciated.

I just received a visa appointment from the embassy. Since I don't have admission yet, I've opted for a private university that requires €8,000 in total tuition fees. The university allows an initial payment of €2,500 to obtain the admission letter for the embassy.

Here's my question: In addition to the regular blocked account requirement of €11,904, do I need to pay the full tuition fees or add the full amount to the blocked account? Or is it sufficient to have the blocked account of €11,904 plus the partial tuition payment receipt of €2,500?

Has anyone had a similar recent experience who can provide guidance?

The Embassy is in 17th June,possibly this week they will enter July. If your school is resuming for Summer by next month and you can attend lectures online please do,dont defer the admission again since Embassy is close to your month(if they continue with this pace). Because if you defer to winter 2025,they will call you before then. If they call you,show them prove of attending class online and ask your school for a late resumption letter or confirmation. Its still your decision to make though.

Nothing can hinder you from getting appointment date this weekend since the Embassy is very very close to your date. So it is better you request for your Sponsorship letter to be sent to you,so you can have it ready. It is better to be safe than sorry to avoid stories that touch. But DHL delivery from Deutschland to Lagos takes two days. Just get your stuff ready. Wish you success.

Congratulations on getting an appointment date. Please when did you book?? If its private school,Embassy will ask you for evidence of one year tuition which you can block separately in a blocked account asides the 11,904. Or you pay and take your receipt alongside with you. I stand to be corrected. Wishing you best of luck on your interview day.

When did you apply for appointment?

Thanks for the advice but my school didn't give me the option to study Online, both in the Past Winter semester and this coming Summer semester.
If I get appointment, what better way can I defend it during the interview?

Anyone in this situation? I went for my visa appointment on 11/2/2025 but was unsuccessful as a result of a missing document which is the confirmation of blocked account. Fintiba messed me up!!! Document was sent the next day 12/2/2025 and I have been mailing the embassy about this but no successful response, they only said I should go reapply and wait for my turn....after waiting for over 2 years to get this appointment. I have the complete document, admission letter, fully blocked account, confirmation of blocked account, travel insurance, etc
What can I do in this case? Please advice @everyone

Just like most cases here,you can reschedule your appointment if you're not ready. But be careful while stating your reasons in your rescheduling mail. People have been getting rescheduled here recently now that the Embassy is gracious enough.You can tell them the month that you want appointment since you want to defer to Winter 2025.@Hannania can further advise you. The person will most likely get an appointment this Friday. Unless you meant 2024. SL is valid for 6 months. So please do a DHL express(Around €100) and get it in hand asap

They added this recently. If you don't have money for full private tuition, please ask for reschedule and pick a date close to winter semester while getting admission for that period.
