I don’t know why I keep having issues with mechanics. The other time, it was my shock absorber, and now it’s my battery. So here’s what happened: About a month ago, I noticed my battery kept draining, especially after one or two days. If I tried to start my car, it wouldn’t come on.
I took it to a mechanic, and this foolish guy ran a diagnostic test that said it was my alternator. I was like, 'Ahh ahh, a 2016 car already has alternator problems?' I knew he was lying and just trying to extort money from me, so I took the car back home and have been managing it like that.

Then, a couple of days ago, I drove to the mainland to get some gadgets. I stopped to get the stuff, and when I tried to start my car, it wouldn’t start again. While trying to jump-start it, some mechanics suggested I bring the battery down. When I did, I noticed the battery was swollen. Mind you, I only just buy this battery just over a year ago (a Benz battery, to be precise). I was really surprised that a battery could go bad so easily .

But then again What I’ve been thinking is, why do most mechanics always lie to me? I’ve noticed that 99% of the mechanics I’ve dealt with in the past , always try to extort money from me by lying. I don’t know if it’s because of my looks or what,

Well it shares the same engine with the w205 (m274) and they aren’t the best engines.( gurgeon pin issues that could lead to piston slap) our fuel don’t help either, low octane ratings ( 91 RON) as opposed to premium gas (95 RON) that car would suffer pre-ignition that could also damage the piston. Lastly the engine isn’t cheap also.

It's simply a terrible engine.

Is this your first time buying a car?
Oga, go for a clean foreign-used Benz and forget about Nigerian-used ones

Ideally, anything from 2014 and above…. preferably full option and you’re good for the next 4-5 years…

stay far away from anything Nigerian-used cars.

well, the glc has a 43 badge also, that uses the m276, same thing in a c400, I think it’s a better motor. It’ll not be so much common like the glc300 though

Replace with.the.same compressor that.comes with, you can.opt for the manual compressor if available and.wouldnt need any construction or conversion but make sure.your ac technician is good and familiar with MB very well else you're in for serious trouble.
Mind you, opting.for a manual comp will require a thermostat connection which will require a rewire also good in his craft so.you.domt have issues here and there.

Don't listen to any suggestions like converting the ac to.volvo or peagout compressor ooo... you go cry.

I recommend you take the car to.either trinity (ask.for oga John at that street where fidelity bank is) or Surulere (ask.for Sudan clergy road)

Ac matter no be here.

Your major.concern.is which is better to go for btw 9ja used and foriegn used.

To me it's all falls back to.your pocket, why opt for a used car when you can afford a brand new or a 9ja uses when you can afford a foriegn Used.

The truth about the matter is, a used car is a used car, irrespective wheater it's toks or local used. They all come with their unique problem.

Some local used cars are far far better than the foriegn used car, why because, some persons might just want to lay the car off for financial, relocation, or any other person reasons.
If you're lucky to get a good user, a lover of cars, one who take care of their cars like they care for a woman, you would want to queue and pay any amount for their locally used car because they've already addressed all the foriegn issues that came with the car.

The only reason local used cars are bad to buy is because of our poverty rate in the country, so we tend to have very bad maintenance culture.

On the question of issues a car can have, chief, there is no car that don't have issue, every car has its own unique problem, all you need is a good maintenance behaviour, simple!

These things are machines, they're are bound to fail, tear and wear out, so tha question to me is not necessary at all.
Else, you won't drive a car because every car has iys own problem.

If you have the money for a brand new car, go for it. Shey na tokunbo, buy am. Or 9ja used your pocket fit afford, bros pay.
Na Lambo or Ferrari, or Maybach dey make you freez, bros buy am, this life na 1, if you get the money enjoy it to the Fullest, drive any car that gives you joy, because when that breath stops it's over.

Hello everyone one. Please I have an issue. I noticed that one of the wire on my car terminal sensor was disconnected. However I don't know where it was from. My instincts told me it's from the (+) positive terminal on the battery side. But I'm scared to start the vehicle to avoid damaging anything yet.

Here is the image. The first image shows the red and blue, white wire connected to the sensor. Don't mind the black wire, I just joined it to the blue and white to make it longer.

The blue and white wire runs down, maybe to the ground or something else. But it runs down, now the red one is the issue. Am I right connecting it to the terminal head of the (+) part?
